What is NCHMCT JEE?
National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination or NCHMCT JEE (also known as NHCM JEE) is a national-level entrance exam conducted to offer admission to aspirants in hospitality and hotel administration programmes. Till 2018, the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM & CT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, conducted the NCHMCT JEE exam. However, from 2019 onwards, National Testing Agency (NTA) took over the charge to conduct the NCHMT JEE exam. Last year, NCHMCT JEE had 32,603 applicants. NCHMCT JEE 2021 will be conducted on June 12 and the admission notification was released on February 3. The last date to apply for NCHMCT JEE 2021 is May 10.
NCHMCT JEE 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates meet the eligibility criteria for NCHMCT JEE if they have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board with passing marks. The age limit criteria that aspirants need to fulfill for this hotel management entrance exam is mentioned in the table below:

Top Colleges Accepting NCHMCT JEE Scores
The list of colleges accepting NCHMCT JEE 2021 scores for admission has been released. In 2021, a total of 21 central Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs), 25 state IHMs, one Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) IHM, 24 private IHMs, and 13 food craft institutes will accept NCHMCT JEE scores for admissions. The seats on offer for admission through NCHMCT JEE have been increasing over the years.

NCHMCT JEE 2021 Admission Process
Admission through NCHMCT JEE will strictly be on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the All India JEE (Written Test). Based on marks scored by a candidate in NCHMCT JEE, he/she will be allotted an All India Rank (AIR). No group discussion or personal interview round is conducted for shortlisting candidates. So, admission is offered only on the basis of NCHMCT JEE merit and rank.

NCHMCT JEE 2021 Exam Analysis
NCHMCT JEE 2021 has not been conducted yet. However, aspirants can go through last year's exam analysis for NCHMCT JEE below.
NCHMCT JEE 2020 was conducted on August 29. Overall, NCHMCT JEE 2020 pattern was similar to last year's test paper. Students shared that the exam easy to attempt and they were able to complete the paper on time. There were no changes in NCHMCT JEE 2020 exam pattern or marking scheme for the paper as compared to last year. There were a total of 200 questions that aspirants had to attempt in 180 minutes duration. Total weightage for NCHMCT JEE 2020 exam was 800 marks. There was negative marking in the hospitality entrance exam.

NCHMCT JEE 2019 Exam Analysis
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted NCHMCT JEE 2019 on April 27 from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM. A three-hour duration test, the paper was conducted in online mode in 49 cities across the country. Soon after the exam got over, Shiksha got in touch with few candidates to analyse the NCHMCT JEE paper. There were no surprises in NCHMCT JEE 2019 question paper. NCHMCT JEE 2021 Student Reaction

NCHMCT JEE 2020 was conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) from 3 PM to 6 PM on August 29. The exam was conducted at 86 test cities spread across 28 states of the country. Most of the candidates who took the exam shared that it was easy and the questions asked were very similar to the ones asked over the years in this national level hospitality entrance exam. However, since the exam was easy to attempt, candidates had to ensure that they avoided negative marking at all possible places in order to score high in the exam as NCHMCT JEE 2020 cutoffs are also expected to be high.

NCHMCT JEE 2019 was conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the first time on April 27 from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM. The exam was conducted in a total of 49 test cities across the country. Shiksha reported live from Noble Exam Centre, Rohini, New Delhi, where total 479 students took the NCHMCT JEE 2019 paper. Last year, NCHMCT JEE 2018 was conducted on April 28 from 10 am to 1 pm across 33 test centres in India.
