CLAT Vocabulary Words: With just a month left to the CLAT Exam 2026, you need to understand that Vocabulary plays a major role in clearing CLAT's English section. You must include new words every day, and key vocabulary terms to enhance your word power. Using flashcards to carry and revise whenever and wherever required will be helpful too. This will in turn help you to enhance comprehension, language proficiency and writing skills. CLAT Exam is scheduled on December 7, 2025.

Abolish: To formally put an end to a system.
Apart from the CLATAdmit Card, candidates must carry the following documents to the exam centre:
- Passport-sized photograph (same as the one uploaded with the application form)
- A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter ID)
- Transparent water bottle
CLAT exam day dos:
- Reach examination centre at the reporting time mentioned on your CLAT admit card.
- Carry two copies of the CLAT admit card, one photo ID card, passport size photos
- PwD candidates should carry relevant certificates and documents.
- Carry a blue/black ball point pen for signing attendance sheet
CLAT exam day don'ts:
- Do not carry items such as bags, purses, pencil box, beepers, wrist watch, calculators, mobile phones, electronic devices, scanners, cameras, wireless/Bluetooth transmission or any such communication devices.
- Don't wear closed shoes, jewellery made of metal, jackets, clothes with pockets, mehendi on palms. Socks are allowed inside it.
- Don't wear caps, hoodies or jackets/shirts with pockets
- Don't be late for exam. Entry gates will be closed 15 minutes before the commencement of exam.
Accomplish: Achieve or complete successfully.
Balance: an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady.
Contrast: the state of being strikingly different from something else in juxtaposition or close association.
Huff: to treat with arrogance.
Abate: To reduce in amount, degree, or intensity.
Abolish: To formally put an end to a system, practice, or institution.
Accord: An official agreement or treaty.
Acknowledge: To accept or admit the existence or truth of something.
Adversary: One’s opponent in a contest, conflict, or dispute.
Allege: To claim or assert that someone has done something illegal or wrong, typically without proof.
Amend: To make changes to a document, law, statement, etc., typically for improvement.
Anomaly: Something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected.
Candidates must note that CLAT 2026 Objection Window will open once the CLAT Provisional Answer Key is released. Candidates must raise objection on CLAT Answer Key on or before the last date. Once the objections are recieved, the consortium will publish the CLAT Final Answer Key. Based on that, the CLAT Result will be announced.

The mode of the CLAT exam is offline or paper-based mode. Candidates are handed over hardcopy of CLAT question paper and OMR sheets to answer the questions. Candidates will have to be careful while filling OMR sheet as any scratch or cuts in the OMR sheet will lead to disqualification.

It totally depends on you that when you should start preparing for CLAT. If you want really good marks in board exams, focus on that at first and then prepare for CLAT. If you can manage boards and CLAT preparation side by side then go for it, but do not affect your board scores.

There will be no sectional qualifying criterion for CLAT 2026. The overall marks will be considered while preparing the merit list for CLAT. But to ensure a good score, candidates must ensure a high number of attempts with full accuracy.

According to the CLAT exam pattern, there will be no deduction of marks for unanswered questions. Such questions will not be taken into consideration while calculating the total marks of a candidate. Hence, if candidates are not sure about the answer of a question, it is better to leave it unattempt

The CLAT exam for both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be conducted for 2-hour; i.e. 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates must note that the exam will be conducted in offline mode. There will be 120 MCQs. Total number of sections in the question paper will be five.

Exam On - 7 Dec '25
The Consortium of NLUs conducts the CLAT Exam from 2 pm to 4 pm. The exam is held only in one slot. There are no shifts in CLAT Exam. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode.
