Q:   How to learn time management for AIBE exam preparation?
A:

The best way to keep a check on your time is by practicing as many AIBE sample papers as possible. Though there is no sectional weightage in the exam. It is best that you allot yourself time to attempt each question during practice.

According to the AIBE eligibility criteria, there is no restriction on the number of attempts a candidate can make. Additionally, the BCI has not set any age limit for appearing in the exam. This means that candidates who fail the AIBE can reappear in subsequent sessions without any penalty.

Following the revised eligibility rules implemented from AIBE 19 onwards, final-year law students (who have no pending backlogs) are also eligible to take the exam. However, these candidates must ensure that they successfully clear their final semester examinations. It’s important to note that the AIBE result for such final-year students will be provisional, and their Certificate of Practice will only be issued once they officially complete their law degree within the stipulated timeframe.

Let's explore the best course of action after failing AIBE 19:

1. Understand That You’re Not Alone

Firstly, it’s important to realise that many candidates do not clear AIBE on their first attempt. AIBE is not about academic brilliance alone — it tests practical understanding, application skills, and thorough preparation. Every year, thousands retake the exam successfully.

Final semester candidates of LLB without backlogs are eligible to apply for AIBE-20 exam. Because you are in 5th semester of LLB and AIBE 20 will be held in December 2025. So not eligible for AIBE 20.
