The MH CET Law CAP includes specific steps such as CAP registration, release of the alphabetical list, release of the merit list, option filling, and seat allotment. What is MH CET Law Alphabetical List? 

The MH CET Law Alphabetical List contains the details of candidates who successfully register for the CAP round. It includes the names of both types of candidates whose documents have been verified and not verfied by the CET Cell Maharashtra. The list includes the following details:

• Candidate's name
• Application ID
• Gender
• Date of Birth
• Final Category
• Final Minority Status
• PwD/Ex servicemen ward status 
• Orphan category (if applicable) 
• CET percentile 
• HSC and SSC percentiles

Note: Candidates can send grievances to the MAH CET Cell to correct their details if the alphabetical list contains discrepancies. The exam authority opens a limited time online window for grievances.

What is MH CET Law Merit List? 

The MH CET Law merit list is an official ranking of candidates in the MAH CET LLB 3-year/5-year exam. It is used by CET Cell Maharashtra to display the names of candidates shortlisted for admission to law colleges that accept MH CET Law scores. If a candidate's name appears on the merit list, they are eligible for admission to their preferred law college. However, the final allotment will also depend on the candidate's CET score and the MH CET Law cutoff of the preferred college.

• Date of Birth
• Final Category
• Final Minority Status
• PwD/Ex servicemen ward status 
• Orphan category (if applicable) 
• Candidature type (MS/OMS)
• CET percentile 
• HSC and SSC percentiles

Note: Candidates cannot send grievances to the exam authority against the MH CET Law merit list.

MH CET Law 2024 Alphabetical List Vs Merit List

Individuals taking the MH CET Law exam for the first time often mistakenly consider the MH CET Law alphabetical list to be the merit list. However, there are notable differences between the two lists. Check out the differences between the MH CET Law merit list and the MH CET Law alphabetical list below:

• The MH CET Law alphabetical list is a document published to help candidates cross-check their personal details and marks/percentiles and report any discrepancies. These details will be used for admission, so candidates must thoroughly check all the information and request corrections from the exam authority if needed. In contrast, the purpose of the merit list is to inform candidates that they are eligible for admission.
• The alphabetical list includes the details of both candidates whose documents have been verified and candidates whose documents have not yet been verified. However, the merit list includes the names of only those candidates whose documents have been verified.
• Candidates can send grievances against the MAH CET LLB alphabetical list, but grievances against the merit list cannot be sent.
• If a candidate's name appears in the MH CET Law merit list, they are eligible for admission to the preferred law course through MH CET Law counselling. They will need to freeze an option from the list of colleges offered to them by the exam authority. If a candidate is selected in the alphabetical list, it does not guarantee admission to a law college.
