CLAT 2026 Dates: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will release all important CLAT Dates along with the official CLAT Notification 2026The CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2026 exam is likely to be held on December 14, 2025. No, the CLAT 2026 Application Form is not out yet. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is expected to begin the CLAT 2026 Registration Process in July and candidates can apply on or before the last date. CLAT 2026 Exam Date has not been announced yet. However, it is expected to be held on December 14, 2025. Candidates must note that CLAT 2026Application Form can be filled online only. Only those candidates who will fill CLAT Application Form 2026 successfully, will be issued CLAT admit card and will be allowed to appear in the CLAT Exam.

CLAT 2026 notification has not yet been officially released, but it is expected soon. The Consortium of NLUs releases the exam notification around May–July 2025, followed by the application form in July 2025?
The detailed notification, which will include eligibility, exam dates, application deadlines, and more, is anticipated in July 2025?  After the notification is live, registration will open from mid-July to October–November 2025.

Q:   When will CLAT 2026 application form be released?

The online application form of CLAT 2026 has not been releasd yet. However, once released, the Consortium will give more than 2 months time to candidates to fill the CLAT 2026 application form. The application form of CLAT 2026 will be made available at consortiumofnlus.ac.in, and candidates can fill a single application form for all participating NLUs until the deadline. Q:   Are registration dates out for CLAT 2026?
A: 

As of now, the registration dates for CLAT 2026 have not been announced. For reference, the CLAT 2025 registration opened on July 15, 2024, and closed on October 15, 2024. It is advisable to regularly check the official Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) website for updates on CLAT 2026 registration dates.

CLAT 2026 Application Form Date

The Consortium is likely to begin the CLAT Registration 2026 anytime soon. CLAT 2026 Application Dates will be released along with the official notification. CLAT Application Form 2026 will be made available on the official website of CLAT; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates can fill CLAT Application Form 2026 until the last date. CLAT 2026 application process is common for 5-year integrated and 1-year LLM programs. The minimum CLAT eligibility criteria 2026 for admission to the 5-year law program was 10+2 pass with a minimum of 45 per cent marks. For LLM program, the minimum requirement is a 3-year or 5-year LLB pass with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. Relaxation in minimum marks applies to SC/ST candidates. The CLAT 2026 application fee is INR 4,000 for general and unreserved candidates. Whereas, the CLAT registration fee for SC, and ST candidates is INR 3,500. Candidates must ensure that they fill the application form before the CLAT registration window 2026 closes.

CLAT 2026 Admit Card Date

The CLAT Consortium will release the CLAT 2026 Admit Card atleast 15 days before the CLAT Exam. Only those candidates who have filled the CLAT Application Form properly will be issued the CLAT Hall Ticket 2026. The Admit Card of CLAT can be accessed by entering their login details i.e. mobile number and password. The CLAT Admit Card 2026 will carry details such as the candidate's name, date of birth, roll number, exam date, time and centre location. The CLAT 2026 admit card will be a mandatory document for candidates to gain entry inside the allotted exam centre. 

CLAT 2026 Exam Date

CLAT Exam Date 2026 has not been announced yet. However, it is expected to be held on December 17, 2025. CLAT 2026 will be held in pen-and-paper mode. The offline-based CLAT 2026 will be conducted in 139 CLAT examination centres across the nation. Candidates must note that CLAT question paper 2026 for UG courses will carry total 120 passage-based objective-type questions from five subjects - English Language, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Current Affairs including General Knowledge and Quantitative Techniques. CLAT 2026 Answer Key

The Consortium will release CLAT 2026 Answer Key Date along with the official notification. CLAT provisional answer key 2026 will be released first. Through CLAT 2026 answer key, candidates can cross-check their responses marked against each question in the examination. Candidates who have any objection against the given answer of any question, can challenge the CLAT provisional answer key 2026 in online mode on the official website in the prescribed format before the objection window closes. Once the consortium receives the objections, the CLAT Final Answer Key will be released.

CLAT 2026 Result 

The Consortium will declare the CLAT result based on the CLAT Final Answer Key. The result will be  announced in online mode on the official website of the law entrance exam. The result will be released in the form of a scorecard in PDF format. Candidates can download their CLAT scorecard by logging in using their application number and password/date of birth. The CLAT result and scorecard contain important details about the candidates such as their name, roll number, application number, category, total score obtained, section-wise score obtained, exam qualifying status, All India Rank (AIR) and category rank. 

CLAT 2026 Counselling

Counselling and seat allotment is the final stage of CLAT admission process, wherein all candidates who qualify for the law entrance exam will be able to participate in CLAT counselling. The counselling and seat allotment process will be centralised and completely online. Through CLAT counselling, candidates are allotted seats in respective courses and NLUs based on merit. The CLAT counselling process includes the following steps:

Q:   When should I reach the exam centre of CLAT 2026?
A: 

All candidates had to report at the allotted CLAT exam centre at least 1 hour before the commencement of the exam I. e. 1:00 PM. It may be noted that no candidate were allowed to enter the exam hall 15 minutes after the commencement of the exam. Therefore, candidates were asked to reach the exam centre of CLAT on the exam day at least an hour before the exam timings for checking of documents and seating formalities. For this, candidates were asked to estimate the time required to reach the allotted test centre beforehand. They could either use Maps or visit the test centre a days in advance if it is in their the nearest city. If they had to travel to another location from their current location, such as to Delhi from Agra, then they were suggested to look for the nearest accommodation beforehand instead of starting their journey on the exam day. If they plan to start their journey on the exam day, then they were suggested to keep at least 2-3 hours for any exigency or traffic related delays. Q:   What are the exam timings for CLAT 2026?
A: 

CLAT 2026 exam timings was confirmed in admission notification. The CLAT exam was held from 2 pm to 4 pm. The duration of CLAT exam was two hours, and therefore, the exam authority scheduled exam on the same day for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. On the day of examination, candidates had to report at least an hour before the exam timings, so as to complete frisking and check seating plan at the test centre. Q:   Will I be allowed to enter the CLAT exam centre if I reach after reporting time?
A: 

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the CLAT exam centre after 1:30 pm. Thus, candidates have to ensure that they reach their exam centre on time. Candidates will not be allowed to change their CLAT exam centre if they are late. They will have to take the test at the allotted CLAT exam centre 2026 only which is why, it was important to download the CLAT admit card as soon as it releases and make arrangements for exam centre.

Moreover, candidates can login again and correct their details in the application form of CLAT as long as the window is open.

Q:   Will CLAT be held twice in 2026?
A: 

In 2022, CLAT exam was held twice, I. e. on June 19 as CLAT 2022, and on December 18, 2022 as CLAT 2023. However, from 2024 onwards, CLAT exam is to be conducted once in a year only, as confirmed by the exam officials in the latest notification. Earlier, CLAT exam was conducted in May or June, but from 2024 onwards the entrance exam will be conducted in December (of preceding year to the admission year) itself for concluding admissions on time. Therefore, CLAT counselling process will be completed by May of each academic year.

Q:   Will there be any correction window for CLAT application form?
A: 

Yes, the Consortium of NLUs opens the CLAT application correction window for all registered candidates so they can cross-check and edit their form. Once the CLAT application correction window 2026 opens, candidates will be able to make changes in their preferred test cities, and other details. CLAT application correction window is a facility for candidates to modify their details and avoid rejection due to misinformation at the time of admission process. The option to edit applications was enabled from CLAT 2021 onwards so that candidates can to make changes in choice of test cities, their name, date of birth, preferred NLUs and reservation category, if required.

Q:   Will there be any break in between CLAT 2026 exam duration?
A: 

No, the candidates were not allowed to take breaks or exit the exam centre while they are attempting CLAT exam. Candidates were allowed to drink water, eat or use the washroom only before or after the exam timings. Therefore, on the day of examination candidates should prepare themselves to sit for two hours straight without any breaks. They should use washroom right before entering the examination hall. They were allowed to carry a transparent water bottle for themselves. However, they should limit the amount of water intake to avoid taking break in between. No request to leave examination hall will be allowed by the centre officials to avoid cheating or any other activities. If you have any medical condition that requires you to take a break, it will be allowed only at prior notification and permission by the exam authority.

Yes, RNB Global University accepts CLAT scores for BA LLB programme. Along with CLAT, it also accepts LSAT scores which refers to Law School Admission Test. If the candidate has not appeared for either of these, then it is mandatory to appear for RNBGUAPT. BA LLB is for a five-year duration.
