Q:   What are MAT eligibility criteria?

A:

Since MAT is an entrance exam for post graduate level management courses, the minimum eligibility criteria for MAT exam is graduation. Candidate should have completed graduation in full-time or part-time mode in Arts, Commerce or Science from a recognised university. The eligibility criteria for MAT PBT, CBT and IBT are the same. Final year graduation students who will be giving their final exam or awaiting results are also eligible to appear in MAT. There is no minimum score requirement in MAT. Candidates need to have passing marks in graduation.

However, MBA colleges have the eligibility criteria of minimum 50 per cent in graduation (45 per cent for SC/ST/PWD), thus candidates who aspire to pursue MBA need to ensure that they score a minimum of 50 per cent in graduation. SC/ST/PwD candidates need to have a minimum of 45 per cent in their Bachelor's degree programme. There is no age bar or appearing in MAT. Fresh graduates as well as working professionals can apply for MAT.

Q:   How will I know the address of my MAT test centre?

A:
The address of MAT test centre will be mentioned in the admit card only, which means candidates will know the venue/location of their MAT test centre only after they downloading their MAT admit card. The exam authorities will not share the details of any exam centre before the release of the MAT admit card. The MAT CBT and MAT PBT are held in separate cities and the centre is allotted to candidates in the first city of preference as mentioned in the MAT application form. Thus, candidates already know the city in which they will be allotted the test centre. The MAT admit card is released at least two days before the exam so that candidates can download it on time and check the exact location of the test centre allotted to them to make arrangement for the exam day. If any student belongs to a rural area and their MAT test centre falls in a city, they can make arrangements beforehand if they know to which city they have to go for appearing in the exam.

Q:   In how many cities is MAT exam held?

A:
Test cities for MAT CBT and MAT PBT are different. So, while selecting an exam mode in the MAT application form, candidates must check the list of cities in which that MAT exam mode is being held or not for that session or exam phase. Check here the MAT test cities: MAT PBT Test Cities: Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi (NCR), Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Vadodara and Visakhapatnam. Q:   Can I purchase MAT application form offline?

A:
Since MAT is an MBA entrance exam, all of the registration process is online. From candidate registration to payment of fees, every activity is to be done online at the AIMA MAT website. There is no provision of offline form filling. The candidates can fill the form on the AIMA-MAT website by creating an account on the official website by furnishing basics information such as name, date of birth, email ID and mobile phone number. The application process of all MAT exam modes is common. MAT registration is a one-time process but MAT application form is to be filled for each exam session separately. For taking the MAT test again, candidates can simply log in to their dashboard and fill the application form for any upcoming session of their choice. Q:   How many MAT participating colleges can a test taker select in the MAT application form?

A:

Before selecting the five colleges, candidates must check the eligibility criteria (academic requirements like minimum score in graduation), MAT cut off and selection process.
