What is the format of INI CET exam?

INI CET exam format is 200 multiple choice questions and total allotted time is 3 hours. The exam is held in computer-based mode once a year. The meium of INI CEt exam is English only. What is the difference between INI CET and NEET PG?

Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test or INI CET and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate NEET PG both are national-level postgraduate medical entrance exams. No. Once allotment of INI CET centre is done, no such request will be entertained by the exam conducting body. Final registration for INI CET 2025 July session started on April 3, 2025. Candidates have to generate EUC to proceed for final registration. Generation of EUC is mandatory to procced for INI CET final registration 2025, considered as the last leg of the whole application process. Earlier, EUC generation process scheduled for April 1, 2025 was postponed. Last date for INI CET 2025 final registration is April 25, 2025. What is INI CET?

INI CET is the abbreviation for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi conducts the entrance test for admission to PG courses such as Masters of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh). INI CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for the PG entrance test need to follow the eligibility criteria for the exam. The requirements that a candidate must fulfil to be eligible for the entrance exam are summarised in the table below:

INI CET 2025 Admission Process

The admission process for various postgraduate courses for July session begins with exam registration. Once candidates complete both the basic and final registration process, they are issued admit cards. After this, candidates have to appear for the examination, which is conducted online at various test centres in India. Those who qualify for the stipulated cut-off become eligible for admission to various masters-level programmes such as MS, MD, MDS, DM, and MCh.

INI CET 2025 Application Form Process

The first step of the INI CET 2025 July session application process is basic registration. Candidates will have to submit basic candidate information as part of the registration. They will have to register themselves on the official website of AIIMS Delhi through a valid email ID and mobile number. Then they have to check the provisional status of their registration as well till the given deadline set by AIIMS. After the basic registration, candidates have to fill INI CET application form.

The next step is code generation and final registration. The Examination Unique Code (EUC) is generated only to those candidates whose basic registration is accepted. This code is a mandatory requirement to proceed with the final registration. After the generation of the code, candidates will have to complete the final part of the application form and submit the application fee.

INI CET 2025 Syllabus

INI CET syllabus is released by AIIMS Delhi along with the information brochure. The question paper is based on the choice of the institute and selected course while filling the application form. Though the subject/topics and question papers are different on the basis of the choice, the core syllabus is based on the course curriculum taught during the MBBS course. INI CET 2025 Pattern

AIIMS released INI CET 2025 exam pattern alog with the official information brochure. As per INI CET pattern, the exam is conducted in computer-based mode and candidates get three hours to answer the exam paper. Details of INI CET pattern 2025 are as follows:

INI CET 2025 Prep Tips

As INI CET is a PG-level exam, candidates must not leave any stone unturned to score well in the upcoming exam. They should pay attention to the following tips.

Candidates need to keep themselves updated as per the latest INI CET pattern
Prepare a plan to cover the whole INI CET syllabus in a strategic manner
As the syllabus is of UG level, candidates are advised to pay attention to all subjects of the MBBS course
Candidates must know that superficial reading won’t help. In-depth knowledge of a subject is a must
Make a time-table to allocate dedicated hours to each subject

INI CET 2025 mock test

INI CET 2025 mock test provides a reality check of preparation. After finishing the syllabus, candidates should practice mock tests and analyse their performance. Solving more mock tests boosts their confidence before the exam. At the same time, candidates get an idea of what more needs to be done to improve their scores. Candidates must note that AIIMS doesn't release the official mock test. However, candidates are advised to solve previous question papers and sample papers to get an overall idea about the exam.

INI CET 2025 Question Paper

AIIMS doesn't release the official question paper for the INI CET exam. However, some coaching institutes release memory-based INI CET question papers. INI CET question paper proves very handy providing an idea about exam pattern and weightage of questions. Aspirants who plan to appear for the exam must practice previous years' questions paper to get an insight into the exam.

INI CET 2025 Answer Key

Like question paper the INI CET answer key is also not released by AIIMS. However, those who enrolled themselves can get the answer key. These institutes prepare answer key on the basis of the memory of exam-taking students. With the answer key, candidates get a rough idea about their marks in the exam. Candidates have to count the total number of correct and incorrect questions and then calculate the marks as per the marking scheme of INI CET.

INI CET 2025 Admit Card

INI CET 2025 July session admit card will be issued to candidates who successfully completed the application process. The admit card link for AIIMS INI CET 2025 will be activated online on May 10, 2025. The admit card/hall ticket is of vital importance during the entire admission process and must be preserved until the whole admission process gets over. INI CET admit card comprises important details like name, date of birth, exam date and timing, address of exam centre, and exam day guidelines. Candidates will have to download the admit card 2025 from the official website by providing the login details generated during the registration.

AIIMS will release the list of INI CET 2025 test centres where the exam will be held. The list of test cities will be uploaded along with the information brochure for INI CET 2025 July session.

INI CET 2025 Result

AIIMS Delhi will release INI CET 2025 July session result on May 24, 2025 at its official website, aiimsexams.ac.in in. AIIMS INI CET result comprises roll number of candidates, overall rank, category and percentile. Candidates must note that INI CET result 2025 will be valid for the current academic session only. On the basis of the result, a merit list will be prepared. Candidates whose names are included in the merit list are called for AIIMS INI CET seat allocation.

INI CET 2025 Analysis/Students' Reaction

INI CET analysis 2025: According to students, the question paper for INI CET 2025 was moderate. There were repeated questions. 60 percent questions were tough 20 each was moderate and easiest one. Most of the students attempted around 150-180 questions. A good number of questions were asked from Anatomy, Pharma, pathology, Medicine, OBS Gynaecology, etc. Most questions were clinical in nature. Overall it was tough than the July session. Candidates must note that AIIMS doesn't release the question paper and answer key for INI CET. However, coaching institutes and other experts release the question paper answer key which helps candidates to predict total marks. INI CET 2025 Counselling

AIIMS will release INI CET 2025 counselling dates and schedules on its official website. The counselling is held for those who qualify for the exam by scoring the minimum cutoff percentile. There are four rounds of INI CET 2025 counselling including mock and open rounds. Candidates have to register online to participate in the counselling process. INI CET seat allocation is done on the basis of choice filled by candidates, seat availability, reservation, and other factors.

INI CET Cutoff

AIIMS has released INI CET 2025 cut off online for each counselling rounds. The cut off is released on the official website for each category. The cut off is the last rank in that particular category for seat allocation. A separate cutoff list is released for MD/MS/DM/MCh and MDS courses.
