Final registration for INI CET 2025 January session has started online. Generation of Exam Unique Code (EUC) is mandatory for the final registration. It must be noted EUC can be generated only by those whose basic registration has already been accepted. Candidates will be able to generate EUC from September 26 to October 18, 2024. To generate EUC, candidates will have to login and choose the desired course. It must be noted INI CET application form 2024process comprises both basic and final registration. 

Basic registration for INI CET 2025 January session is underprocess. Candidates will have to register online to submit application form for the exam. The last date to complete basic registration is October 5, 2024, 5 pm. As part of INI CET basic registration 2025, candidates will have to submit basic details such as name, date of birth, valid email ID, mobile number etc.

AIIMS has started final registration for INI CET 2025 January session on September 26, 2024. Candidates will have to generate EUC to complete the final registration. The deadline to generate EUC and complete the final registration for INI CET 2025 is October 18, 2024. It must be noted candidates whose basic registration has already been accepted only those can generate EUC.

There is no upper age limit to appear for INI CET exam. At the same time, there is no capping on number of attempts in the exam. Candidates should have completed an undergraduate degree in medical field from a recognised institute/college. They must have scored 55% marks (general category) in qualifying exam. Q:   What are the passing marks for INI CET result?

Candidates need to score the minimum cut off marks to qualify for INI CET exam. The qualifying marks is different for different category. To qualify for the INI CET exam, a candidate of general category needs to score 50th percentile or above. Candidates who belong to SC/ST category has to score 45th percentile marks to get it through. Based on cut off marks, a merit list is prepared. The merit list comprises eligible candidates to participate in different counselling rounds for seat allotment.

What is INI CET?

INI CET is the abbreviation for Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi conducts the entrance test for admission to PG courses such as Masters of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh). INI CET scores are valid for admission to 18 AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, PGI Chandigarh, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, and SCTIMST, Trivandrum. With effect from 2021, all these institutes admit PG students on the basis of the marks obtained in the INI CET exam only. Earlier these institutes used to conduct separate exams for admission to PG courses. INI CET examination is conducted twice a year, January and July session.

Q:   What is the qualification for INI CET?

A:

A candidate must possess MBBS degree for MD/MS/DM-6yrs/MCH-6yrs and BDS degree for MDS courses of a University recognised by the National Medical Commission/Medical Council of India as notified by Govt. of India and Dental Council of India respectively and must have completed the required period of 12 months compulsory rotating Internship/Practical training in certain period of time. They must have scored the minimum marks in MBBS/BDS or equivalent examination. Minimum marks for candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories is 50% while for all other categories including OBC/EWS Category, the minimum mark is 55% in aggregate.

Candidates can apply online for INI CET exam. The application process of INI CET comprises basic and final registration. Q:   What is the difference between INI CET and NEET PG?

A:

Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test or INI CET and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate NEET PG both are national-level postgraduate medical entrance exams. A valid score in each exam makes you eligible for admission to various medical courses like MD MS etc. However, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate) scores are widely accepted in the country, whereas a few selected institutions accept Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test scores. there are around 16 INIs which accept INI CET score including 16 AIIMS, JIPMER Puducherry, PGI Chandigarh, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, and SCTIMST, Trivandrum.

Q:   What is INI CET exam?

A:

INI CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) is a national level entrance exam conducted by AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) for admission to postgraduate courses in various AIIMS JIPMER, PGIMER and NIMHANS institutes. The exam is held twice a year in May and November and consists of 200 MCQs based on the MBBS syllabus. The exam duration is 3 hours.

A:

There is no capping on number of attempts for INI CET exam. At the same time there is no age limit. There is no official figure of total number of registrations for INI CET exam. Since 2020, number of candidates have been increasing for the exam. For 2024-25 session, around 60, 000 candidates appeared. As INI CET is one of the toughest exam in medical field, only few candidates qualify the exam and get desired college and course.

INI CET 2025 Admission Process

The admission process for various postgraduate courses for July session begins with exam registration. Once candidates complete both the basic and final registration process, they are issued admit cards. After this, candidates have to appear for the examination, which is conducted online at various test centres in India. Those who qualify for the stipulated cut-off become eligible for admission to various masters-level programmes such as MS, MD, MDS, DM, and MCh.

 

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for the INI CET?

Candidates must have completed, or have appeared for the final exam of MBBS/BDS from a recognised medical college. Q:   Do questions repeat in the INI CET exam?

A:

At times, questions get repeated in the INI CET exam. But candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly so that they can answer every possible question in the exam. As the INI CET is one of the toughest exams, candidates should focus on concepts. At least two revisions are required before the exam date. After finishing the INI CET syllabus, candidates should appear in a mock test and solve previous question papers. Q:   What is the format of INI CET exam?

A:

INI CET exam format is 200 multiple choice questions and total allotted time is 3 hours. The exam is held in computer-based mode once a year. The meium of INI CEt exam is English only. AIIMS releases INI CET pattern along with the official information brochure. The exam pattern comprises details such as mode and medium, total number of questions, allotted time, marking scheme etc. According to the existing marking scheme, candidates will get +1 mark for right answer and -1/3 for each wrong response. Due to negative marking, candidates are advised to attempt only questions where they feel confident of correct response.

As INI CET is a PG-level exam, candidates must not leave any stone unturned to score well in the upcoming exam. They should pay attention to the following tips.

  • Candidates need to keep themselves updated as per the latest INI CET pattern

Overall six months time is sufficent for INI CET preparation. This includes 4 month in depth study and 2-month for revision work. Don't spend too musch time initially on subjects where you are weak. This will demotivate you and affect your preparation. Keep this in mind that concept is key. INI CET 2025 Admit Card

INI CET 2025 January session admit card will be issued to candidates who successfully complete the application process. The admit card link for AIIMS INI CET 2025 will be activated online. The admit card/hall ticket is of vital importance during the entire admission process and must be preserved until the whole admission process gets over. INI CET 2025 Result

AIIMS Delhi will release INI CET 2025 January session result at its official website, aiimsexams.ac.in in. AIIMS INI CET result comprises roll number of candidates, overall rank, category and percentile. Candidates must note that INI CET result 2025 will be valid for the current academic session only. On the basis of the result, a merit list will be prepared. Candidates whose names are included in the merit list are called for AIIMS INI CET seat allocation.

INI CET Cutoff

Q:   What is the minimum cut off percentile to qualify INI CET?

A:

Candidates have to score the minimum marks to qualify for the AIIMS INI CET exam. The minimum marks vary for each category of students in the exam. While the General category candidates have to score minimum 50 percentile to qualify for the exam, those who belong to reserved category need to score 45 percentile marks. Anybody who score less than the minimum cut off will not be able to qualify for the exam. Yes, you can participate in INI CET 2024 round two counselling for upgradation but there is a condition for that. For upgradation, you have to choose option 2 where you provide willingness to participate in second round. After seat allotment in round-1, candidates have to login and actively choose out of two options. Option 1 says that you accept the seat and don't want to participate in further rounds while option 2 says you accept the seat but you want to participate in second round of seat allocation.
