The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has started the registration for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test- INI CET - July 2021 session at aiimsexams.org. Aspirants can fill the INI CET 2021 application till March 31 up to 5 PM. Recently, AIIMS has concluded the counselling for January session. On January 5, 2021, AIIMS has declared the result for Round Two counselling result on their official website. The last list of the registered candidates appeared for January session for on-spot admissions released by AIIMS on January 29, 2021 which concluded the counselling process. AIIMS has announced the result for January session on November 28, 2020, and the exam for January session has been concluded on November 20 last year.
About INI CET
INI CET 2021, which is the abbreviation of Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test, was conducted for the first time on November 20, 2020. The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi will conduct this entrance test for admission to the PG courses such as Masters of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgie (MCh) offered by AIIMS Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh, NIMHANS Bengaluru, JIPMER Puducherry and PGI Chandigarh. With effect from 2021, all these institutes will admit PG students based on marks obtained in the national level entrance exam only.
The examination will be conducted twice a year in online mode, once for January session and other for the July session. INI CET 2021 January session facilitated admissions to as many as 897 seats across various PG courses to the affiliated institutes. For July session, it is expected that more than 900 seats will be offered.
INI CET 2021 counselling for January session schedule was officially announced on December 15, 2020. On December 16, 2020 merit list and cutoff were released.

INI CET 2021 examination was conducted on November 20,2020. Registrations for the exam was started from September 29, 2020. Aspirants had to register themselves online before October 12. Candidates who completed the basic registration for INI CET 2021 on time could check the status of their registration online from October 14 to October 17. They could make changes to the basic registration form during this period only.

DownloadNotably, candidates who had successfully registered themselves for January 2019/July 2019/January 2020/July 2020 sessions of AIIMS PG were exempt from basic registration process again for INI CET 2021. Only those candidates who had not registered on the website of AIIMS Delhi in the past two years or whose basic registration was declined in the previous attempts are required to complete the basic registration.

INI CET 2021 Admission Process
Admission process for various postgraduate courses through INI CET 2021 for both January and July session begins with the registration process. After candidates have completed both basic and final registration process, they will be issued admit cards for to appear for the exam. After this, candidates are expected to appear for the examination, which will be conducted online at various test centres in India. Those who qualify the stipulated cut off will be eligible for admissions to various masters level programmes such as MS, MD, MDS, DM, and MCh.

INI CET 2021 Registration
The first step of the application process for INI CET 2021 is basic registration. Candidates had to register themselves on the official website of AIIMS Delhi using a valid email ID and mobile number. Then they have to check the provisional status of their registration. If the registration process for January session was unsuccessful, candidates were able to make necessary changes in the INI CET 2021 application form session before October 17, 2020. AIIMS is yet to be announced the registration dates for the July session and is expected to begin from the second week of March 2021, tentatively.
The next step was code generation and final registration. Only those candidates whose basic registration was accepted could generate the RUC code. This code was a mandatory requirement to proceed for the final registration. Candidates needed to complete the final part of the application form and submit the application fee.
NI CET 2021 Exam Centres
INI CET 2021 centre list for July session will be released by AIIMS, New Delhi mentioning the exam cities available in each state. While filling the INI CET 2021 application form for July session candidates are advised to go through the complete list of INI CET exam centres on order to fill their choices as per their feasibility. INI CET 2021 Admit Card
AIIMS has not yet announced any official dates for the release of INI CET admit card 2021 for July session. Admit card for July Session is likely to be released in the last week of April, tentatively. Candidates must note that the admit card is of vital importance during the entire admission process and must be preserved until the end.
INI CET 2021 admit card for January session was issued to only those candidates who completed the final registration process in time and submitted their application fee. Admit card for January session exam was released on November 13, 2020.
INI CET 2021 Syllabus
INI CET 2021 syllabus is decided by the AIIMS and the participating institutes. The question paper will be based on the choice of institute and selected course while filling the application form. Though the syllabus and question paper will be different on the basis of the choice, but the core syllabus will be based on the course curriculum taught during the MBBS course. Exam Day Guidelines for INI CET 2021
INI CET 2021 exam for January session was concluded on November 20, 2020. INI CET 2021 exam for July session is expected to be held in the second week of May (tentatively). On the day of exam there are several instructions printed on the back of admit card which are required to be followed by the candidates while appearing for the exam. Below are the exam day instructions:
- It is mandatory for all test-takers to carry a valid photo identity proof with them on the day of the examination
- Do not carry any electronic items such as calculators, mobile phones, smartwatch, etc. on the day of the examination
- The exam centre will not have provision to keep bags or other valuables
- Eatables or beverages are not allowed inside the examination hall
- Entry to the exam centre will be staggered to prevent overcrowding
- Candidates must report to the exam centre at the ‘reporting time’ mentioned on their admit card
- Candidates must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth
- They are allowed to carry a 50 ml bottle of hand sanitiser and a transparent water bottle to the exam centre
INI CET 2021 Result
As the AIIMS Delhi has not yet announced any official dates for the July session, hence the dates for the result is expected to be announced in the Last week of May 2021 (tentatively). INI CET result 2021 for January Session was announced by AIIMS Delhi on November 28. The result will be uploaded online in PDF format.
INI CET 2021 Cutoff
AIIMS Delhi will also publish the INI CET 2021 cutoff on their official website, along with the merit list. The authority will announce the cut off for unreserved/EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwBD categories for July session tentatively in the last week of May. INI CET cutoff 2021 is the last rank and equivalent percentile of the candidates who have qualified and shortlisted for the seat allotment process. Authorities will release the cutoff along with the result. Meanwhile, aspirants can go through the previous session category-wise cutoff for MD/MS/DM/MCh and MDS courses from below mentioned table.
INI CET Merit List 2021
INI CET Merit list 2021 for July session will be published on the official website of the AIIMS. The merit list of INI CET 2021 July session will have the names of the candidates shortlisted fir the counselling process. AIIMS will invite candidates eight times the total number seats to be allotted at the INIs. For the January session as many as 5,911 candidates for MD/MS/DM/MCh pogrammes were invited and for MDS 113 candidates were shortlisted for the counselling process

Q. Which exam should I take for admission to DM (3 years) course in AIIMS Delhi?
A. The exam for 3-year DM/MCh course is different. AIIMS Delhi conducted the AIIMS DM/MCh/MD (HA) examination for admission to this course.
Q. Which exam should I take for admission to DM (6 years) course in AIIMS?
A. AIIMS Delhi will conduct INI CET for admission to 6-year DM/MCh courses. Effective 2021, AIIMS PG exam has been scrapped. The exam will be held biannually.
Q. Will INI CET 2021 replace NEET PG also?
A. No, INI CET will be conducted for admission to PG courses offered by AIIMS group of institutes, NIMHANS, JIPMER and PGIMER only. NEET PG will still be conducted for admission to all other colleges in India.
Q. What will be the frequency of INI CET?
A. INI CET will be conducted twice a year, once for admission to the January session, which was concluded in November last year and next for admission to the July session. The official dates for the July session are yet to be announced.
Q. Will INI CET 2021 be conducted online like AIIMS PG?
A. Yes, INI CET 2021 July session will be conducted in online mode. The exam will be of three hours and will have 200 questions.
