Q:   Can I get MBBS admission with a 300 score in NEET 2024?

A:

It is possible to get admission to a private medical college with a score of 300 in NEET 2023. For government medical college, one should ideally obtain a score above 600. As per past years' trends, a score between 500 to 700 or above is in the cutoff marks for NEET.

Q:   What is the qualifying NEET cut off for General category candidates?

A:

The qualifying NEET 2023 cutoff marks for General category candidates is 137. Last year it was 117. As expected, the NEET 2023 cutoff for General category candidates is higher than last year. The reason is, the difficulty level of NEET was lower this year, whereas the competition level has become even higher, along with the increase in the number of seats.

  • NEET Difficulty Level-:   Difficulty level can impact the cutoff scores. A more challenging paper might lead to lower cutoffs.
  • Number of Seats-: Availability of seats can also affect the cutoff. If there are fewer seats, the competition is more intense, and the cutoff may be higher.

  • Candidate Performance-: The overall performance of candidates who appear for the NEET exam in a specific year impacts the cutoff. Higher-scoring candidates may lead to a higher cutoff, while lower-scoring candidates may result in a lower cutoff.
  • Reservation Categories specific categories, such as physically handicapped (PH) or differently-abled candidates, may have separate cutoffs.
  • All India Quota vs. State Quota-: HIMSR may have seats allotted under the All India Quota and the State Quota. The cutoffs can differ for these quotas.

Q:   I am preparing for NEET 2025. I want to know about all medical or semi-private schools in India and cut-off and probability of clearance.

A:
Some general guidance on how to gather information about medical schools and their cutoffs: Official Websites: Visit the official websites of medical colleges and universities in India to explore the programs they offer, admission criteria, and other relevant information. Many institutions publish cutoff scores for previous years on their websites, which can give you an idea of the minimum score required for admission. NEET Counseling Authorities: The counseling authorities responsible for the NEET admissions process, such as the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) or state counseling bodies, publish official notifications, information brochures, and cutoff scores for various medical colleges. Keep an eye on their official websites for updates. Previous Year's Cutoff: Look for the cutoff scores of medical colleges for the previous years' NEET exams. This information can be found in various sources, including official websites, educational publications, and online forums. Analyzing previous cutoff trends can give you a rough estimate of the cutoff scores for admission. College Admission Brochures: Many medical colleges publish admission brochures that provide detailed information about the courses offered, eligibility criteria, selection process, and cutoff scores. These brochures can often be downloaded from the college's official website. Consult Experts or Educational Consultants: Seek guidance from experienced education consultants, career counselors, or subject matter experts who have knowledge and expertise in the medical field. They can provide valuable insights and advice regarding the Probability of clearance and suitable options based on your NEET score and other factors.

Q:   What is the selection process for MBBS and what is the minimum NEET score required in Medical college?

A:

The selection process for MBBS admissions in India involves the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), which is the mandatory entrance exam for MBBS and BDS programs. Candidates must score above the minimum cutoff percentile set by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to qualify for the next stage. Admissions are divided into two quotas: All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota, with AIQ accounting for 15% of seats and the remaining 85% allocated to the state quotas. Candidates register for counseling based on their NEET scores and preferences, which involves multiple rounds of seat allocation based on merit and preferences. Some seats may be reserved under the institutional quota and management quota, with different admission criteria. The minimum NEET score required for MBBS admissions varies from year to year, and it is advisable to check the latest NEET cutoff percentiles released by the NTA.

Q:   Does AIIMS Raipur accept NEET score?

A:

Yes, AIIMS Raipur accepts NEET scores. There is no other entrance exam conducted by AIIMS Raipur or AIIMS institutes for MBBS admission. Althoug earlier AIIMS used to conduct its own entrance exam but it was scrapped in 2020. The admission to AIIMS Raipur takes place through NEET counselling, conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. AIIMS Raipur seats are a part of the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Candidates must secure a NEET score above 700 in order to have a chance to get admission to the MBBS course in this coveted medical institute of India.
