To download the NIFT admit card 2025, follow these steps.

The candidate can carry any of the following documents as an acceptable ID proof.

• Aadhaar Card with photograph
• E-Aadhaar with photograph
• Voter ID
• Passport
• PAN Card
• Driving Licence
• College Identity Card with photograph
• Ration Card with photograph

The candidate must not bring the following items:

Handbag, purse, any kind of paper / textual material (printed or written material), eatables (loose or packed), electronic gadgets (mobile phone, earphone, microphone, pager, calculator, camera, tape recorder, electronic watches, etc), Docu Pen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, with facilities of calculator, and metallic items. 

Smoking, chewing gutka, spitting, etc. are prohibited inside the exam hall.

Candidates carrying any of the above items may will be disqualified. 

The GAT paper for the B.Des and M.Des courses will be conducted from 9 am - 11 am. Meanwhile, the GAT written exam for B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech, and M.F.M. courses will be conducted from 9 am - 12 noon.

Candidates need to report at least an hour in advance.

The CAT paper will be held from 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm.

NIFT Bhubaneswar is one of the NIFT participating colleges. So, it will accept NIFT 2025 scores.

The institute offers UG and PG design programmes.

NIFT written tests will include a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). 

There is no option to apply for recheck of NIFT 2025 results.

They are only allowed to challenge the GAT answer key. The NIFT answer keys for GAT paper of the written exam will be released sometime in April 2025.

To book a time slot and a test centre for the situation test, the candidate needs to follow these steps:

Step 1: Visit the NIFT website.

Step 2: Click on the slot booking link

Step 3: Login to the portal using candidate credentials - registered email ID, date of birth, roll number, and verification code.

Step 4: After log-in, select NIFT situation test centres and time slot.

Step 5: Submit the details. Note that slots will allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If there is a technical issue during the exam, for instance, the computer hangs, the candidate must approach the exam invigilator immediately. He or she will then try to get the issue resolved or the candidate may be issued a new computer terminal.

Also, note that any time lost for the issue will be recorded in the server and the candidate will get the lost time addded.

If you are a diabetic, then you are allowed to carry your sugar tablets and fruits in a transparent bottle. However, note that packed food like chocolate, candy, sandwiches, etc., are not allowed.

There is a negative marking for the GAT paper. For an incorrect answer, the candidate will be deducted 25% marks. So, you need to be judicious about doing guesswork. 

There is no negative marking for CAT exam.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) doesn't conduct any mocks for the exam. So, the candidate may take mocks conducted by third parties, including coaching institutes to prepare for the exam.

However, note that these unofficial mock tests are not free. You have to pay a fee to take these mock tests.

As per the NIFT 2025 Syllabus,  the GAT paper will include questions from the following topics: 

• Aptitude
• Communication Ability
• English Comprehension
• Analytical & Logical ability
• General Knowledge & Current Affairs

The NIFT 2025 entrance exam is conducted in TWO stages.

The 1st stage includes the written exams - Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT).  The GAT is mandatory for all courses; however, only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT paper.

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des and M.Des courses may practice the CAT paper to prepare for the section.

Note that the CAT paper is conducted in an offline-based mode.

The NIFT 2025 exam center will not have a baggage counter, so it is the candidate's responsibility to ensure the safekeeping of their belongings.

Also, it is recommended that the candidate only carry the essential items and not unnecessary items that can be cumbersome or expensive.

On NIFT 2025 exam day, the candidate will need the following documents:

• NIFT 2025 admit card and
• A valid photo ID proof. 

Without these documents, you won't be allowed to sit in the NIFT entrance exam. Make sure you also go through the exam-day gudelines.

Yes, separate admit cards will be released for the Situation Test.

Note that the Situation Test will be conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). B.Des candidates who get shortlisted based on written exam scores need to take the Situation Test.

NTA will release the admit card for the NIFT 2025 exam tentatively in the 1st week of Feb 2025

Candidates who complete the application process and pay the category-specific application fee will be issued the admit card. Download it using your candidate log-in credentials.

The final results of NIFT 2025 will be declared around April-May 2025. 

The final results will be prepared by considering the performance of the candidate in the written exams and Situation Test/ Interview.

The only exception is the B.F.Tech program, for which only GAT scores will be considered.

The CEED and UCEED 2025 exams are conducted by IIT Bombay.

UCEED is for B.Des courses, whereas M.Des and PhD applicants need to take the CEED exam.

The entrance exams will have a computer-based Part A and offline-based Part B. 

The application form for NIFT 2025 hasn't been released yet. NTA hasn't also released any updated as to when the application will open.

However, given the application typically opens in November, you are recommended to keep looking up this space for any updates.

The NIFT 2024 answer key will be released tentatively in the 3rd week of February 2025.

The NIFT entrance exam is conducted in two stages.

B.Des and M.Des candidates first have to take the CAT and GAT papers. If shortlisted, they have to appear in a Situation Test/ PI. Note that M.F.Tech and M.F.M candidates only need to take the GAT followed by the PI.

The NIFTs have an intake of 473 seats for NRI candidates; note the total intake for all the courses is 5,289 seats.

The results of the NIFT 2025 exam will be prepared by giving weightage to various test components as shown below.

You must select the admission category in the NIFT 2025 application form. If you select the wrong category, you will be considered for admission under the open category.

If the candidate, however, availed benefit of relaxed age or income or cut-offs at any stage of the Admission Process, the candidate’s application will be rejected.

For B. Des and B.FTech courses, the candidates must be less than 24 years old as of July 1 of the admission year. 

There is 5 years relaxation for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories. 

There is no age limit for PG courses.

It is not compulsory to have studied Maths in Class 12 to appear in the NIFT 2025 entrance exam.

The Situation Test/ Personal Interview (PI) is the 2nd stage of NIFT exam.

Candidates with a UG degree in any discipline from any Institute /University recognized by law in India can apply for the M.Des. Programme. 

So, if you meet other academic requirements, you may apply.

For undergraduate programs, you can apply to all B Des and B.F.Tech Programs. 

Candidates applying for B.F.Tech Programme (with Physics and Maths), will also be eligible to

enroll for B.Des courses. However, PG candidates can apply for only ONE postgraduate program.

The candidate has to fill out the NIFT application form online. There will be no option to apply in offline mode.

Also, the candidate shouldn’t download the form, fill it out, and send it to exam officials.

The allotment of seats will be based on: 

1. Choice opted at the time of counseling registration (academic programs + campuses)

If there are unfilled seats in the OBC (NCL), EWS, domicile (Open), and domicile (OBC NCL) categories, these seats will be converted to the open category after a minimum of two rounds of seat allocation.

Obtained a 3 or 4-year diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education.

Passed any Public School/ Board/ University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by t

he Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to a 10+2 system

General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/ Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate
