JEE Main 2025: Students Claim Out-of-Syllabus Questions in January 23 Shift 1 Exam

JEE Main 2025 Exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE Main shift 1 Jan 23 exam at 12 PM. After the exam, some of the students who were interviewed by Shiksha.com claimed that two JEE Main 2025 questions were out of the prescribed syllabus. Apart from this, a few students also reported errors in the JEE Main questions 2025. The claims have raised concerns among aspirants and parents.
Talking about JEE Main shift 1 Jan 23 difficulty level, students rated as easy to moderate. While the Physics and Chemistry sections were relatively straightforward, the Mathematics section stood out as challenging and time-consuming. Many students complained about the significant amount of time required to solve the Mathematics questions.
Allegations of Out-of-Syllabus Questions in JEE Main 2025 Shift 1 Jan 23 Exam
One of the students who appeared for the exam stated, "One to two questions were out of the syllabus in Chemistry." Those who appeared for the exam have claimed that a few questions were not aligned with the official JEE Main syllabus provided by the NTA. These alleged discrepancies have left aspirants feeling unfairly disadvantaged, as they had prepared based on the prescribed syllabus.
With JEE Main being an important engineering entrance exam that determines eligibility for top engineering institutes like IITs, NITs, and IIITs, even minor deviations from the syllabus can have substantial implications for studentsโ rankings.
