TNEA Registration 2024 Live Updates: TNEA 2024 Registration closes on June 6, 2024. The candidates must upload the documents for TNEA Counselling before June 12, 2024. The TNEA Counselling 2024 Random Numbers will be assigned on June 12, 2024. The candidates must do the TNEA registration 2024 before the deadline to appear for the TNEA counselling. The TNEA application form was released by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai on May 6, 2024. The TNEA counselling schedule will be released soon. The TNEA Rank link will be released on July 10, 2024. Grievance redressal will be done from July 11, 2024, to July 20, 2024.

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission is done based on the TNEA Counselling. The TNEA Counselling 2024 is conducted to admit candidates to BE/BTech and BArch courses in Tamil Nadu. The candidates must apply for TNEA counselling with TN 12th Result.

How to Register for TNEA 2024?

The TNEA 2024 registration can be done following these steps.

The candidates must follow these steps to register for TNEA 2024.

Step 1: Visit the TNEA 2024 official website, tneaonline.org.

Step 2: Candidates must click on BE/BTech registration link or the BArch registration link provided depending on the TNEA counselling they want to apply.

Step 3: Enter Details like Name, Mobile Number, Date of Birth, Qualifying Examination and Password in the space provided.

Step 4: Click on "Save"

    TNEA Counselling 2024: Conducing Authority

    TNEA Counselling 2024: Tie Breaking

    In cases where more than one candidate has got the same marks in the common merit list, the inter-se-merit among such candidates shall be determined in the order of priority as specified below.

    TNEA Counselling Registration 2024: Documents to be Uploaded

    The registered candidates should upload their copy of the following original certificates. The instructions for uploading certificates will be given later after the registration process is completed.
    1. 10th MarkSheet
    2. HSC First year (+1)Mark sheet
    3. HSC Second year (+2) / Equivalent Marksheet
    4. Transfer Certificate
    5. Details of Government school studied from 6th to 12th standard for 7.5% Government School Students Reservation.
    6. Permanent Community Certificate for ST, SC, SCA, MBC&DNC, BC and BCM (either Permanent card or electronic form / digitally signed e-certificate)
    7. Nativity Certificate (only in electronic form/ digitally signed e-Certificate) (if applicable)
    8. Income certificate (if applicable)
    9. First Graduate Certificate (only in electronic form/ digitally signed e-Certificate)and First Graduate Joint Declaration (if applicable)
    10. Srilankan Tamil Refugee Certificate (If applicable)
    11. Candidates who have applied for special reservation
    (i) Relevant certificates for the Son/Daughter of Ex-servicemen with Parent’s discharge certificate and ID card

    (ii) Differently abled persons should bring a Medical Certificate obtained from the Medical Board (Consists of 3 Doctors)

    TNEA 2024 Registration: Documents Required

    The candidates must be ready with details such as
    i. Mobile phone number

    ii. E-mail ID

    iii. Class 10 Marksheet

    iv. Class 12 Marksheet

    v. School details where he/she has studied from 6th to 12th standards

    vi. Community/ Caste details

    vii. Aadhar card [Aadhar number details](Optional)

    TNEA Counselling 2024: Registration Process

    The candidates must follow these steps to register for TNEA 2024 Counselling

    Registration: Provide the details asked and register for counselling

    Login: Candidates who register successfully are issued login details that include a username and password

    Fill out the online application form: Candidates have to complete the online application form which has 7 parts. One part of them is the application fee payment.

    Preview and submit the online form: Candidates can preview the form carefully once before final submission.

    Download the online form: The online form can be downloaded after the final submission. Candidates must keep the downloaded copy with them. It is not meant to be sent to the authorities.

    TNEA Counselling 2024 Registration: Eligibility

    Candidates are eligible to apply for admission through TNEA if they are:

    • Tamil Nadu candidates who have passed their Class VIII to Class XII standard in Tamil Nadu.
    • Children of Central Government Employees, irrespective of their nativity, provided their parents or guardians (only if both parents are not alive) have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years at the time of TNEA application form submission.
    • Sons/daughters of All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers.
    • Children of employees in the Public Sector or Government recognised institutions who at the time of TNEA 2024 application form submission had been working in their organisations for the past five years are also eligible to apply, irrespective of their domicile.
    • Other state candidates who have studied from Class VIII to Class XII in Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA 2024.
    • Tamil Nadu native candidates who have passed any of the VIII, IX, X, XI and XII standards or their equivalent examinations from schools situated outside Tamil Nadu can also apply for TNEA.

    A candidate needs to register only on online application for all the courses/colleges/Institutions. Candidates seeking admission under special reservations should also give their option for the Special Reservation category along with the main online application.

    (ii) Seats in Aided and self-supporting courses in Government Aided Engineering Colleges
    (iii) Seats surrendered by Central Government Institutions

    c. Indian Institute of Handloom Technology(IIHT), Salem

    TNEA 2024 Registration Steps

    On the registration page, candidates have to enter their name, email ID, password generation, nationality, nativity, religion, community, whether they have studied from 8th to 12th standard in Tamil Nadu or not, date of birth, mobile number, gender, qualifying number, the month of passing, year of passing. An OTP will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number. After submitting the OTP and previewing the details, candidates have to click on the ‘register’ button. After registration, candidates will be sent their user ID in their registered mobile number.
