Kerala Education Minister refutes claims by AAP of State Officials visiting Delhi Govt schools
Minister for Education and Labour, Kerala Government, V. Sivankutty stated that the Kerala government assisted officials from Delhi who visited to study the ‘Kerala Model’ last month.
Kerala’s education minister has refuted claims made by Aam Aadmi Party members claiming that Kerala government officials were sent to Delhi to learn about the Kejriwal education model.
V. Sivankutty, Minister for Education and Labour, Kerala Government has stated that no official was sent to Delhi. He went on to add that the Kerala government assisted officials from Delhi who visited to study the ‘Kerala Model’ last month.
Sivankutty wrote on Twitter: “Kerala’s Dept of Education has not sent anyone to learn about the ‘Delhi Model’. At the same time, all assistance was provided to officials who had visited from Delhi to study the ‘Kerala Model’ last month. We would like to know which ‘officials’ were welcomed by the AAP MLA.
Earlier during the day, AAP MLA Atishi shared some pictures from her Twitter handle and wrote that Kerala officials visited Delhi schools to understand and implement the education model in their state.She wrote: “It was wonderful to host officials from Kerala at one of our schools in Kalkaji. They were keen to understand and implement our education model in their state. This is @ArvindKejriwal
Govt’s idea of nation-building. Development through collaboration.”
Aam Aadmi Party also shared that dignitaries from Kerala visited Delhi Govt Schools to witness the education revolution first-hand; “say didn’t expect facilities to be THIS GOOD! Impressed by Kejriwal Govt’s Happiness classes, educationists express the desire to implement it in Kerala,” reads a tweet from AAP handle.
As per some reports, Victor TI, regional secretary of the CBSE School Management Association, Kerala, and Dr M Dinesh Babu, treasurer of the Confederation of Kerala Sahodaya Complexes, an association of CBSE schools in the southern state visited Delhi.
