CLAT Counselling 2025: CLAT 2025 Counselling Registrations has closed. The Consortium announced the CLAT 2025 Revised Result on May 17, 2025. Along with the CLAT Result, the Consortium also announced the CLAT 2025 Counselling Dates. As per the official CLAT 2025 Counselling Notification, the CLAT Counselling 2025 Registration is now over. As per the official notification of the REVISED CLAT Counselling Dates 2025, the CLAT Counselling Registration 2025 was done until May 21, 2025.
It must be noted that all candidates who received invites before and completed the registration for the admission counselling process did not had to register/pay the counselling fees again. The Consortium said that if necessary, they could update their NLU preferences before the last date. It must be noted that only those candidates whose names were mentioned on the CLAT Invite List 2025 will only be allowed/ eligible to appear in the CLAT Counselling 2025.
The Consortium announced CLAT counselling 2025 registration dates on the official website; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. As per the CLAT Counselling Dates 2025 official notification, the CLAT Counselling Registration 2025 will be conducted online. Candidates who will be shortlisted for CLAT 2025 admission process will be asked to exercise their options to accept, revise or withdraw from the seat allotment process before the last date. Those accepting or applying for seat upgrades will be asked to pay the confirmation fee to hold the seat. The admission process for CLAT 2025 will be over with three rounds this year.

How to Check CLAT 2025 Counselling and Seat Allotment Result?
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to check the CLAT seat allotment result:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CLAT - consortiumofnlus.ac.in
Step 2: Enter mobile number and password.
Step 3: Click on Login.
Step 4: Check the seat allotment result.
Note: There are 3, 213 seats for UG courses, and 1,217 seats for PG courses. The candidates who qualified CLAT 2025 will be shortlisted for admission rounds after they complete counseling registration and eligibility-related documentation.

CLAT 2025 Counselling live: Non-refundable fee
An eligible candidate who has been allotted a seat as per their indicated NLU preferences will be required to pay a non-refundable Confirmation Fee of INR. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) prior to selecting a ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’

CLAT Counselling 2025 Fees Refund
If any candidate:
- Is not allotted a seat at the end of the Third round of the Admissions Counselling Process by the Consortium
- Has not chosen the Freeze or Float option and Exit from the Counselling Process, the Counselling Registration Fee will be refunded in full.
- Where a candidate has been allocated a seat and has chosen a Float or Freeze option till the third round, and then subsequently chooses to Exit or fails to complete their admission at the chosen NLU by paying their fees then their Counselling Registration Fee will be refunded in full if the Exit option is exercised before 1:00 P.M. on June 9, 2025, after a deduction of INR 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only), if exercised after 1:00 P.M. on June 9, 2025.
- If a candidate is found ineligible by an NLU based upon the verification of documents/information provided at any round, an amount of INR 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) will be deducted and the remaining Counselling Registration Fee will be refunded. If any candidate is exercised ‘Freeze’ option and taken admission at the allocated NLU in any of the rounds, but withdrawn the admission subsequently after deadline of June 9, 2025, an amount of INR 5000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) will be deducted and also confirmation fees will be forfeited.

What are Freeze, Float and Exit options in CLAT 2025 counselling?
Each candidate who has been allotted a seat at any NLU may exercise any of the ‘Freeze’, ‘Float’, or ‘Exit’ options in a counselling round based on the conditions set out below:
Freeze option: If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat, accepts it, and is not interested in participating in further rounds of seat allocation/ counselling, they may ‘Freeze’ the seat allocation.
Float option: If the candidate has not been allotted their first preference NLU and chooses to leave ‘open’ the possibility of getting a higher preference NLU seat they may choose the ‘Float’ Option.
Exit option: If at any time after completing the Registration Process, a candidate does not want to participate in the Counselling Process, they may choose to ‘Exit’ the Admissions Counselling Process. If a candidate has chosen a Float or Freeze Option prior to the Exit option, the seat allocated to them will be reallocated to some other candidate and the Confirmation Fee will be forfeited. No candidate will be allotted a seat after choosing the Exit option.

Candidates can check the instructions below to get a full refund of the CLAT Counselling Registration Fees 2025:
- Complete the payment of the Counselling Registration Fee; Click the ‘Make Payment’ button (the Make Payment button will be visible only if you have been selected for the Admissions Counselling Process).
- Pay the Counselling Registration Fee by 5:00 PM on May 21, 2025 as set out below: Candidates from the General Category: INR.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty thousand only) Candidates from the ST/ SC/ OBC/ BC/ EWS/ PWD categories are required to pay INR 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only)

NLU Admission Process after CLAT Seat Allotment 2025
Candidates must complete the NLU admissions process in order to guarantee their seat when the CLAT seat allocation 2024 is complete. The following procedures are part of the admissions process for 24 NLUs:
Admission cost: In order to confirm their admission, all candidates who have been assigned seats must pay the admission cost.

What is the counselling process for CLAT 2025?
The counselling process of CLAT 2025 is a centralised seat allotment process for all the participating National Law Universities (NLUs). Therefore, the counselling is a standardized process as under:
Step 1: Candidates who appeared for CLAT 2025 and secured above the minimum cutoff marks will be required to register for the centralized counselling process once the CLAT Consortium opens the window.
Step 2: For registration, candidates will be required to login into their account, and fill their preferences and upload their documents and get it verified.
Step 3: The counselling authority publishes a merit list for each round with the seat allotment results, and candidates who are listed can reserve/ secure their seat by completing admission formalities such as 'Freeze' and pay the admission fee as per their category.
Step 4: Candidates who do like their seat allotment can apply for an upgrade by selecting the float option. And those who wish to exit the counselling process can do so by selecting ethe xit option.
Step 5: Candidates who successfully secure the seat will be issued a provisional admission letter and a schedule for joining the college.

CLAT 2025 Counselling Fee Refund
The CLAT counselling fee of INR 50,000 paid at the time of registration is refundable. However, candidates should keep in mind the following points:
- The fee will be fully refunded if candidates withdraw their seat before the last date
- A deduction of INR 10,000 to the total counselling fee will be made if candidates withdraw their seat after the last date
