NIT-C, Medical College collaborate for advanced research

The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT-C) and the Kozhikode Government Medical College have collaborated in order to promot research. NIT-C has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kozhikode Government Medical College for undertaking collaborative interdisciplinary research programmes. The signing of the pact took place between Prasad Krishna, Director, NIT-C, and VR Rajendran, Principal, Medical College. NIT-C conducted a function for signing MoU on April 27, 2022.
MoU to address multidisciplinary, scientific, technological, and educational issues
The Memorandum of Understanding MoU signed between the two institutions envisions developing collaboration between the two institutes in various fields to address multidisciplinary, scientific, technological, and educational issues relevant in the country.
The areas of research that would get collaborative inputs under this MoU include biomedical image processing, telemedicine, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, robotics, 3D printing, nanomedicine, implants and prosthetic devices ergonomic system design.
The research endeavours are aimed at building sophisticated treatment facilities that are beneficial to the patients as well as strengthening biomedical research to facilitate improved diagnosis of critical illnesses.
Usage of the latest technology
The institutes will also take advantage of the latest technology breakthroughs and scientific knowledge of the multidisciplinary research laboratories operating under the guidance of the Indian Council of Medical Research.
NIT-C PhD Admissions 2022
The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT-C) has commenced the admission application process for PhD programme. Candidates interested in NIT-C Admissions 2022 must note that the last date to submit the application forms is May 3. Applicants can visit the ‘Admissions’ link available on NIT-C official website, https://www.nitc.ac.in.
The engineering institute has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to PhD programmes (monsoon semester) in various schemes in the departments of architecture and planning, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, physics, biotechnology, materials science and engineering and management studies.
