What are the things candidates must carry to the NEST 2025 exam centre?

How many exam centres are there for NEST 2025?
There are a total of approximately 140 cities and towns in India where NEST 2025 will be conducted. Students must select three preferred NEST 2025 Exam centres while filling out their NEST 2025 application form. The exam authorities mostly try to allocate the first preference of the candidates; however, the final allotment of the exam centre is under their control, and any requests from candidates to change their exam centres will not be accepted in general.

NEST 2025 Merit List
Candidates need to secure a rank in the NEST 2025 merit list to qualify for admission into NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai. This list is based on the total of the general section marks and the best three subject scores out of four. Students need to meet the Section-Wise Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS) and the Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP) based on their category.

NEST 2025 Age Limit and other criteria
As per the official information brochure of NEST 2025 Exam, there is no age limit for candidates who wish to appear in the NEST 2025 exam to get admission to either NISER or UM-DAE CEBS. Also, when it comes to Nationality, the candidates must be citizens of India. NRI, PIO, or OCI applicants are not eligible to appear for the NEST 2025 exam.

Explain the NEST 2025 Education Qualification
Candidates must go through the following educational qualifications to know whether they fulfil these criteria or not.
Educational Qualification:
- Students must have passed the Class 12 examination or equivalent from any recognised Board in India in the years 2023 or 2024, to be eligible to appear for the NEST 2025 Exam.
- Applicants must come from the regular science stream in classes 11 and 12, with at least three main subjects as Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate scores (or equivalent grade) in their Class 12 exam. Those students who belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Divyangjan categories must have scored a minimum of 55 per cent.

What the starting date of NEST 2025 Application Process?
The NEST 2025 Application process started on February 17, 2025, for those who wish to seek admission to the 5-year Integrated MSc programs at NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai.
The application form of NEST 2025 will start on February 17, 2025 by exam conducting authorities on the official website. Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling the form. The last date to fill in the application form and to submit the application fee is May 9, 2025.
Students must keep a check on some of the important events such as admit card date, exam date, answer key date and result dates by visiting the official site.
The exact number of NEST exam centres will be released in the official notification. Applicants who want to appear in NEST exam must check the exam cities before filling the application form.
Last year the authorities have provided a list of 122 exam centres in various cities across India. This year, the number of exam centres may be increased or decreased depending on the availability of centres and total number of applicants who appeared in the exam.
Applicants are advised to fill the exam centres while filling the application form of NEST exam. There will be around 120 NEST exam centres mentioned in the official notification. Students who want to apply and participate in the NEST exam must fill the 5 exam centres of their preferred choice from that list.
The exam conducting authorities will release the admit card atleast 10 days before the exam which will include the allotted NEST exam centre to the applicants.
Candidates could pay the application fee of NEST 2024 till the last date as mentioned in the official notification.
After all details on the NEST application form will be filled, candidates need to pay the application fee. Candidates could make the payment of the NEST 2024 application fee in online (through credit/ debit card/net banking) mode.
After the payment is done, applicants need to download the recipt of payment for future use.
