SRMJEEE 2020 cancelled, admission to be based on class 12 and JEE main score
With SRMJEEE 2020 cancelled, the SRMIST will conduct the admission on the basis of 10+2/Pre-University/Equivalent marks and JEE (Main)/SAT Score. Read on to know more.
SRMJEEE 2020: In the light of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic across the country, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), has cancelled the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (SRMJEEE) for BTech admissions 2020. The exam was planned to be conducted in 127 Indian cities and 5 overseas centres in Dubai, Doha, Muscat, Bahrain and Kuwait.
Now, the SRM IST admissions 2020 to the BTech programmes will be based on 10+2/Pre-University/Equivalent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. The new admission process will be for to all the campuses: Kattankulathur (Main Campus), Ramapuram, Vadapalani and NCR New Delhi; SRM University, AP – Andhra Pradesh; SRM University Haryana, Sonepat; and SRM University Sikkim.
Those who scored in JEE Main and SAT are also encouraged to apply for all the aforementioned campuses of the SRM IST. Along with the exam, SRMJEE slot booking is also cancelled. This year, the SRMJEEE 2020 admit card will also not be released by the institute
The forms for providing the 10+2/Pre-University/Equivalent marks and JEE (Main)/SAT Score are available on the university website i.e. www.srmist.edu.in. Applicants should swiftly update and complete their forms. In case of candidates awaiting their results for the 10+2 Board Examinations, they can upload the final marks as soon as the results are known.
SRMIST will continue to award a wide range of scholarships for deserving candidates including the ones who scored high in JEE Main and SAT examinations, on joining. However, the SRMJEEE rank based scholarships will not be available.
