SSC Exam Status 2022 Released
SSC exam status and the associated data have been released by the Commission on April 22. The exam status was released from the desk of S Kishore, Chairman, Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The Chairman sighted the delay in the conduct of exam stages that require physical attendance of the candidate, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with the reasons for the delay, the Chairman also presented the data associated with various SSC exams.
SSC Chairman issued the message online and the highlights of the message are:
SSC conducts various exams and releases the schedule for the same beforehand, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule of the exam was badly affected. The activities that required the physical attendance of the candidates, such as examination, evaluation, document verification and the like, could not be performed, which resulted in the delay in the schedule.
Candidates Appeared in SSC Exams 2021-22
After mentioning the reason for the delay, the message presented the figures of achievements, such as despite the above constraints, SSC conducted 21 examinations for about 1.8 crore candidates. This figure includes one of the biggest exam–the SSC Constable (GD) exam which was conducted from November 16 to December 15. The commission received 71.74 lakh applications for this exam. SSC GD answer key was released on March 28.
SSC has released the result of seven examinations recommending 28,068 candidates for appointment in various Ministries/Department of Central Government of India. 1092 candidates were also recommended for appointment through Selection Post Examinations, which makes the total of recommended candidates 29,160.
Applications Received for SSC Exams 2021-22
The Commission also released the results of 21 intermediate stages of examinations, wherein about 6.5 lakh candidates were shortlisted for the next stages of examinations. In the said period, the commission release the notification of five examinations in which the SSC received 1.55 crore online applications.
