CUET PG 2025 exam will start on March 13, 2025 and will be held across the nation and overseas until April 1, 2025 for admissions to various PG courses in the participating universities across the nation.The CUET 2025 PG examination will be conducted in three shifts each day. CUET PG 2025: Exam Shift And Timings

CUET PG 2025 Shift Timings has been released by NTA for 157 subjects for which the exam will be conducted. CUET PG 2025 exam will be held in 43 shifts in the timeline from March 13, 2025 till April 1, 2025 at exam centres across the nation and overseas. CUET PG 2025 Shift Timings (Released)

With the change in the CUET PG 2025 exam pattern, the total duration of the exam has also changed. Earlier the maximum time or stipulated time for the candidates to attend the CUET PG exam was 90 minutes. However, this year the exam authority has reduced the exam timing, which is now 90 minutes or 1 hour 30 minutes.

Q:   What is CUET PG passing marks?
A:

CUET PG 2025 Passing Marks are the set of marks upon which the test takers were able to get their names into the participating institutes of the CUET PG 2025 examination. If the candidate wants to know whether they have passed the CUET PG 2025 exam or not, they are required to check the cut-off marks released by the participating universities and colleges.

After the declaration of the CUET PG result, all the colleges or universities will release the course-wise passing marks or CUET UP cutoff, which will be used for shortlisting candidates for admission to PG courses.

Q:   What is the frequency of CUET PG exam?
A:

The CUET PG exam is conducted once a year. The exam is typically held in the month of March or April. The exact dates of the exam are announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) a few months before the exam.

The NTA releases a detailed notification for the CUET PG exam, which includes all the important information about the exam, such as the eligibility criteria, application process, exam pattern, syllabus, and exam dates.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website of the NTA to stay updated on the latest information about the CUET PG exam.

Q:   What is the duration of CUET PG Examination?
A:

The duration of the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) PG 2025 examination has been set same for all the master's degree programme, which is 1 hour 45 minutes or 105 minutes. The examination is typically designed to assess a candidate's knowledge and aptitude in their chosen field of study, and the duration is set accordingly.

In general, the CUET PG examination may have different durations for different courses or disciplines. For example:

  1. Master's Programs (M.A., M.Sc., etc.): The CUET PG examination for master's programs in various disciplines have a duration of 105 minutes.

  2. Professional Courses (MBA, MCA, etc.): Examinations for professional courses like MBA and MCA is also set to 105 minutes.

Q:   What are the streams for which CUET PG exam is being conducted?

Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) or CUET PG is an all-India level entrance exam which is being introduced for admission into PG programmes in Central and participating Universities for academic session 2024-25. The examination will be held for the graduates to get enrolled for various Masters degree like MSc,  MA,  MBA,  MTech etc.., in various central universities or particiapting universities under the CUET PG 2023 examination.

NTA, the examination conducting body has divided the exam subjects of CUET PG stream wise. Candidates can check out the streams below:

  1. Science Stream- Here all the subjects related to Science domain have been included and the syllabus for the examination has been prepared accordingly. Some MSc subjects of Science stream domain are- MSc in Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Chemistry, Food Science, Bio chemistry, Physics etc.
  2. M.Tech- Here all the subjects which comes under Master degree of engeneering are included here. Some of the M.Tech subjects for which CUET PG 2023 examination is being conducted are Mechanical Eng, Food Eng and Technology, Electronics Communication and Informatics Eng, Civil Eng, Tansport Eng. etc.
  3. Acharya- Subjects which comes under Archarya stream are Siksha Shastri (B.Ed.), Shiksha Acharya (M.Ed.), Agama, Baudha Darshan/Buddhist Studies (Trilingual), Dharmashastra, Vastu & Paurohitya, etc.
  4. Humanitirs- Subjects which comes under Humanities stream are Ancient Indian History, Culture & Architecture, Political Science, History, Geography, Anthropology, Applied Arts, Art and Aesthetics, Dance, and etc., .
  5. Languages- Subjects which comes under Languages stream are English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Persian, Russian, German, and etc. 
Q:   Does CUET PG Exam conducting body changes every year?
A:

No, the conducting body for CUET PG does not change every year. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been consistently responsible for conducting the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) PG since its inception.

The NTA is a government autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Education, India. It has been entrusted with the task of conducting various entrance exams, including CUET PG, NEET, JEE, and others

Q:   What is the mode of the CUET PG exam?
A:

The CUET PG exam is conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode. This means that the exam is taken on a computer, and the questions and answers are displayed on the screen. Candidates use a mouse or keyboard to select their answers.

The CUET PG exam is held in multiple sessions throughout the day, and candidates are assigned to a specific session during registration. The exam is two hours long and consists of 100 multiple-choice questions.

NTA released the CUET PG datesheet 2025. The exam will be conducted for 157 courses and the exam authority will release the date sheet for the CUET PG masters degree courses offered by the examination.

CUET PG 2025 Important Instructions for the Candidates

1. Candidates are advised to report at the Examination Center well in time i.e. 2 hours before commencement of the examination.
2. Candidates should take their seats immediately after the opening of the Examination Hall. If the candidates do not report in time due to any reason i.e. traffic jam, train/bus delay, etc. they are likely to miss some of the important instructions to be announced in the Examination Rooms/Halls. NTA shall not be responsible for any delay.
3. The candidate must show, on-demand, the Admit Card downloaded/printed from the NTA website for admission in theexamination room/hall. The Test Centre Staff on duty is authorized to verify the identity of candidates and may take steps to verify and confirm the identity credentials. Candidates are requested to extend their full cooperation. A candidate who does not possess a valid Admit Card and authorized Photo ID shall not be permitted to take the examination under any circumstances by the Centre Superintendent.

4. A seat indicating Roll Number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates should find and sit in their allocated seats only. In case a candidate ventures to change his/her seat and does not sit on the seat allotted to him/her could face cancellation of candidature. No plea would be entertained in this regard.
5. The candidate should ensure that the Question Paper available on the computer is as per his/her opted subject indicated in the Admit Card. In case, the subject of the Question Paper is other than his/her opted subject, the same may be brought to the notice of the Invigilator concerned.
6. The candidates may approach the Centre Superintendent/Invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid emergency, or any other information during the course of the examination. For any queries or issues regarding Computer Based Test, the candidates may contact on Helpline Numbers available on Common University Entrance Test website.
7. In case a candidate, by furnishing false information, appears in more than one shift/date, his candidature will be cancelled and his result will not be declared.
8. For those who are unable to appear on the scheduled date of test for any reason, re-test shall not be held by the NTA under any circumstances.
Note: Candidates shall appear at their own cost at the Centre on the Date, Subject and timing of Examination as indicated in their Admit Card issued by the NTA. Under no circumstances the choice of cities for the Centre and timing of examination provided in the Admit Card shall be changed.
