CUET PG 2023, the first day (June 5, 2023) of the examination concluded successfully at nearly all the examination centres of CUET PG 2023. From day 1 and 3 shifts of the examination, it was found that the NTA has set the question paper of merely all the day 1 subjects as moderate. As asked by the candidates who appeared in the examination today, students responded that CUET 2023 PG Analysis for Section A was easy to attempt. The questions were on Language Comprehension had questions from unseen passages. Many questions were asked from the General Knowledge domain . Section B is subject specific, therefore the difficulty level varies from subject to subject. Overall the difficulty level of CUET PG 2023 exam was found to be moderate.

The CUET PG 2023 examination is proposed to be held in 37 shifts in total. There are three shifts each day for a duration of two hours at each slot. The CUET 2023 exam centres are located in over 245 cities across India and abroad for phase 1 for CUET PG 2023 examination. CUET PG 2023 is scheduled to be held from June 5, 2023 to June 17, 2023 for admissions to various PG courses in the participating universities across the nation. NTA has rescheduled CUET PG 2023 examination for 60 courses to another shift and day. Candidates can view the rescheduled courses list below.

CUET PG 2023 Admit Card has been released by NTA on June 3, 2023. The Candidates can download their Admit Cards for the said Examination whose examination is scheduled from 05 June 2023 to 08 June 2023 from the NTA website. CUET PG 2023 advance city intimation slip released by NTA on June 1, 2023. CUET PG 2023 city intimation slip is out for the candidates whose CUET PG 2023 examination is conducted from June 5 to June 8.

Candidates can view the below pdf image of CUET PG 2023 City Admit Card. Once candidates log in the CUET UG 2023 website, they will have to log in using their application number and password/date of birth.

Due to the law and order situation in Manipur, NTA extended the CUET PG 2023 examination date, which is from June 5, 2023, to June 17, 2023. As per the latest notice by NTA, three more university has joined the CUET PG 2023 examination for the enrolment of students in PG courses. The added universities are Siddharth University, Kapilvastu, Amity University, Patna, and Gurugram University. The number of participating universities in the CUET PG 2023 exam has accelerated in comparison to last year. In 2022, the number of universities (Central/State/Private and others) that adopted CUET PG was only 66, however, this year it has increased to 195.

What is CUET PG?

Central University Entrance Test (Postgraduate) or CUET PG is an all-India level entrance exam which is being introduced for admission into PG programmes in Central and participating Universities for academic session 2023-24. The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from North East and from rural and other remote areas and help to establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities. 

The number of exam centres in India for CUET PG 2023 has been reduced. Now the exam centres for CUET PG 2023 examination in India are 313 which was 554 centres last year. However, the number of exam centres outside India has been increased. Now the exam centres outside India are 24, which was just 13 last year. The exam is conducted in a computer-based mode for two hours. Till last year, the exam was known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). Prior to 2021, UGC used to conduct the test in a paper-pencil-based mode.

CUET PG 2023 Analysis

CUET PG 2023 examination has started on June 5, 2023. The CUET 2023 analysis is being provided after each slot or shift of the exam. CUET PG 2023 exam is being conducted for multiple subjects and streams in three slots each day. CUET PG 2023 analysis of the first slot of June 5, 2023, the difficulty level of the various subject papers of CUET PG 2023 exam was found to be easy to moderate. The difficulty level will vary for each subject and topic. Students have termed the General Test to be of easy level of difficulty, whereas the Specific subject test was moderate to dicfficult . Although no technical glitches were reported from the centres till Slot 1, in some of the CUET 2023 centres.

CUET PG 2023 admit cardwill be released on June 3, 2023 at the official website of CUET PG 2023. CUET PG 2023 Advance City Intimation Slip released on June 1, 2023 as NTA is working on releasing the city information slips for CUET-PG starting on 5th June said by Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, Chairman of UGC. CUET PG 2023 Mock Test

The mock test is an important feature of preparing for CUET 2023. NTA has provided the official CUET 2023 mock test in an online mode. The practice questions will also be made available for all subjects and languages. The online CUET mock test 2023 is on the official exam website wherein students can get an understanding of the navigation system. By taking the official CUET UG mock test 2023, aspirants will be able to practice the usage of a virtual keyboard and calculator, moving from question to question and among sections. To improve their preparation, students should take the mock tests released by coaching institutes or experts which will give them questions from actual sections of the expected difficulty level. CUET PG 2023 Preparation Tips

CUET is an all-India entrance exam that is highly competitive and candidates appearing for the exam need to have a strategy and aim to score well and qualify. Aspirants can go through the following prep strategy methods while preparing for CUET PG 2023.

  • First and foremost, candidates should go through the exam pattern and structure of the test. After that, students should get hold of some of the best books for CUET PG preparation.

  • After gaining conceptual clarity on each section and subject, students should segregate their areas of strengths and weaknesses they should work towards improving their weaknesses by finding out the root cause and taking help from their mentors or students.

  • After completing the syllabus, they should take regular mock tests and analyse their performance. Solving previous years’ question papers will also expose them to the topics and question types to expect in the actual exam.

  • Last but not least, staying confident is the key to success in CUET PG.

CUET PG 2023 Test Centres

The Test Centres of CUET PG 2023 are to be located in 313 cities across India and abroad. As many as 24 international cities have been chosen by NTA for conducting the CUET PG 2023 exam . Candidates will have to select as many as two test cities while filling the application form for CUET PG 2023 in preferential order. The application fee will also vary as per the selection of the Indian and international Test Centres of CUET PG 2023. Once the test centre is allotted in the admit card, candidates' requests to change the test city will not be entertained. However, NTA has the right to change the test centre of CUET PG 2023 depending on external factors. NTA will also release an advance city intimation slip for candidates before releasing of the admit card.

CUET PG 2023 Syllabus

The syllabus for CUET PG 2023 will be released by NTA for each paper after the releasing of application form. The level of the syllabus is that of undergraduate level. The topics and chapters of the CUET PG 2023 syllabus vary from subject to subject and the detailed syllabus can be checked at the CUET PG 2023 website.

CUET PG 2023 Exam Pattern

CUET PG 2023 Exam Pattern will consist of 100 questions and the question paper will be divided into two parts. Part A will consist of 25 questions on Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability and Part B will consist of 75 domain-specific questions. Candidates must note that the Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability section is compulsory. The General Test also has to be taken by candidates opting for all test papers except Education (PGQP01).

CUET PG 2023 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of the CUET PG 2023 exam is as follows:

i) Each question carries four marks.

ii) For each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted from the total score.

iii) Unanswered/unattempted responses will not be given any marks.

CUET PG 2023 Question Paper

Since the exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode, candidates did not get hold of the CUET PG 2023 question papers on the day of the exam. However, NTA will release the question papers online on its official website along with the answer keys. Candidates will also be able to download their response sheets. The CUET PG question papers carried 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). 

CUET PG 2023 Answer Keys

The CUET PG 2023 answer keys is expected to be released by NTA in third or fourth week of June, prior to the declaration of the result. The provisional answer keys of CUET PG 2023 will be released soon after the conduct of the examination. Candidates will be able to download the CUET PG 2023 answer key along with the response sheets by logging in to the CUET PG website through their username and date of birth/password. Answer keys are the correct answer option for each of the MCQs and based on the provisional answer keys of CUET PG, test-takers will be able to calculate their estimated scores and assume their admission chances at the participating institutes based on their cutoffs. In case of any discrepancy, candidates could submit objections against one or more answer keys by paying a fee of INR 200 per question along with proofs. The final answer key will be released along with the result.

CUET PG Result 2023

The CUET PG 2023 result is expected to be announced by NTA in the first week of July. The result or scorecard of CUET PG will be released online and candidates have to download it by logging in to the link provided. The CUET PG 2023 result will carry information such as candidates’ personal details, section-wise and overall scores and percentiles. The result has been declared in the form of a scorecard which has to be downloaded in PDF format.

CUET PG 2023 Cutoff

The CUET PG 2023 cutoff is expected to be released separately by the participating universities. The cutoff refers to the minimum marks one has to secure in order to qualify for the exam. While NTA will release the qualifying cutoff, participating institutes will release separate cutoffs for each programme offered by them. The CUET PG cutoff marks will depend on the factors such as the difficulty level of the exam, number of test-takers, and seats, among others.

CUET PG 2023 Counselling

The CUET PG 2023 counselling will be conducted by the participating institutes separately. Each institute will release its merit list based on qualifying candidates after the declaration of the result. Interested candidates will have to register and then participate in the counselling process, which will likely be held online. In general, in CUET PG 2023 Counselling there will be three rounds of counselling and the number of rounds may vary depending on the seat vacancy. After the seat allotment result is declared, candidates will have to accept the admission offer by reporting to the institutes and getting their documents verified. There are a few programmes, where instead of counselling, interview rounds will be conducted.

CUET PG 2023 Application form has been released online by NTA on the official website of the exam on March 20. Candidates can fill CUET application form in online mode on the official website https://cuet.nta.nic.in/ . The first step is to register by entering the basic details such as name, address and contact details. This will generate login credentials. After logging in with the registration credentials, candidates will have to fill up the CUET 2023 application form with their personal and academic details, programme and exam city preference and upload documents. After the form is filled, candidates will have to pay the CUET application fee online via debit/credit card, Net Banking, Paytm and UPI. CUET PG 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the Central Universities in order to apply and appear for CUET PG 2023. The eligibility criteria for CUET PG 2023 are as follows:

  • For PG: Candidates applying for a master’s degree must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. There is no minimum aggregate or age limit stated by NTA.
  • For PhD: Candidates applying for PhD programmes must have a master’s degree from a recognised university or institute to apply for admission in research programmes.

A: Common University Entrance Test CUET is being introduced for admission into UG/ PG programmes in Central and participating Universities for academic session 2023-24. The Common University Entrance Test CUET will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from NorthEast and from rural and other remote areas and help to establish better connect with the Universities. A single Examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities. The CUET-PG 2023 will be conducted in CBT mode in 02 shifts for admissions in the next academic session. Till last year, the exam was known as Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET). Prior to 2021, UGC used to conduct the test in a paper-pencil-based mode.

A: The Role of NTA is confined to registration of candidates, conduct of the test, hosting of answer key, inviting challenges, finalising Answer Keys, preparing and declaring result and hosting Score Card. Merit list will be
prepared by participating Universities/ organisations. Universities may conduct their individual counselling on the basis of the score card of CUET (PG)-2023 provided by NTA.

Q: When will DU CUET-PG 2023 course registration process start?

A: DU CUET-PG registration process for this academic session commenced on March 20. The application form was released at the official website of the exam. Eligible and interested candidates are supposed to visit the official website of CUET-PG to fill the application form. CUET-PG 2023 application form can be filled in online mode only. If application form are submitted in any other mode it will not be accepted by the exam conducting body. Along with the application form, candidates are also required to pay the application fee of DU CUET-PG in online mode only.
