IISER Exam Dates 2025: Counselling (Ongoing), Admission List Dates, Cut Off Details

Following the previous year trends and as per the updates mentioned on the IISER 2025 official website, IISER do not release IAT 2025 cut off marks. However, the exam officials based on the counselling registration done for admissions by the candidates, the exam officials releases the round wise IISER 2025 closing rank list.

IAT 2025 cut marks are generally the minimum marks which the IISER 2025 exam test takers need to score in order to get admissions in the programmes offered by the participating institutes. 

IISER result date 2025 has been announced by the exam officials which is June 24, 2025. Typically, IAT results are announced within 15-20 days of the exam, so this date is for reference only. Once released, the IISER IAT Result Link 2025 will be live on the official website, iiseradmission.in, where you can download your rank card by logging in with your registered credentials.

Based on the corrections made in the provisional answer key, exam officials will release the IAT 2025 Final answer key in the fourth week of June 2025. The scorecards of IISER 2025 will be made based on the final answer key and test takers will be able to download the scorecard PDF by logging in to their registered accounts.

IISER 2025 exam was held on May 25, 2025 for the candidates taking admissions to the BS-MS, BS, B.Tech degree courses offered at IISERs, IISc Bangalore, and IIT Madras. After the successful of the examination, the exam officials released the IISER 2025 Student Response Sheet on May 29, 2025.

The IISER Response Sheet 2025 is a specimen that mentions the answers marked by the candidates of the subject for which they have taken the IISER 2025. 

Candidates are able to fill out the IISER Entrance Exam 2025 application form from March 10, 2025 onwards. The application process is completely online, and candidates need to register themselves first on the IAT 2025 official website.

IISER will conduct the IISER Entrance Exam 2025 for the academic session 2025-2026 on May 25, 2025. Candidates who wish to get enrol in the 5 year BS-MS dual degree and 4 year BS degree programmes offered by IISERs, IIT Madras and IISc Banglore institutes need to fill out the IAT 2025 registration form.

IISER 2025 entrance examination for the academic session 2025-2026 will be conducted online/ computer-based test. Candidates will get a the nearest ION digital zone as their examination centre and will give the IISER 2025 entrance examination on the computer.

The IISER Entrance Exam 2025 pattern has been specified for this year's examination. It has been observed that the IISER Entrance Exam 2025 pattern remains to be same as of the previous year of IISER Entrance Exam which was also conducted in online mode I. e. computer-based. The only change which is made by the exam conducting body is the marks awarded for each correct answer. Earlier the examination was 180 marks, but now the maximum mark of the examination will be 240 marks. The IISER Entrance Exam will be conducted in various exam centres across India. The duration of the entrance exam was 3 Hours and the medium of the IISER Entrance Exam be in English . The format of the IISER Entrance Exam is in Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).. .

No, IISER application forms had to be filled in online mode on the official website of the exam only. Candidates had to visit the official website of IISER 2025 and register first, which generated the credentials, or the username and password. After that, they had to log in and complete the application process by filling out the mandatory fields and paying the requisite application fee online.

Given below is a list of documents/certificates whose scanned copies are to be uploaded at the time of online application for IAT 2025. The formats of the certificates are given in the Annexure.

1. Class 10 certificate
2.  Class 12 (or equivalent examination). 
3.  If the class 12 (or equivalent) marks sheet is not available now, then you can instead upload a signed declaration form mentioning : DECLARATION BY THE CANDIDATE IN LIEU OF ELIGIBILITY EXAM CERTIFICATE/ MARKSHEET SEE Annexure). Fill up the form, sign it, scan it and then upload. The scanned copies of the actual marks sheet must be uploaded on or before July 7, 2025, failing which you will not be allotted a seat in any of the IISERs.

IISER 2025 exam notification releases for admissions to the five-year BS-MS dual degree and four-year BS degree programmes. IISER Entrance Exam 2025 will be conducted on May 25, 2025, to test candidate's domain knowledge for the courses offered by IISERs. Interested applicants will be able to fill out the IISER 2025 application form from March 3, 2025 onwards.

According to the event dates released by IISER for the academic year 2025, the IAT 2025 result was declared on June 24, 2025. Candidates will be able to download their IAT 2025 results by visiting its official website. Students are advised that the results of the IISER Entrance Exam will be available online on the official website of IISER Admissions. Candidates are required to log in and check the results released. Before the IISER Entrance Exam results are released, the IISER Entrance Exam Answer Key will be released so that students can challenge the answers.

Earlier there was three chaneels through which candidates can ge admissions to the courses offered at IISER institions, IISc Banglore and IIT Madras. From the academic session 2025, admisisons were made through IAT exam channel only and other two channels were discontinued.

There were three channels for admission:

1. IAT Channel a. Candidates seeking admission through this channel must appear for a computer-based IISER Aptitude Test (IAT-2025).
2. KVPY Channel The KVPY-SA-2021 students who have received the provisional KVPY fellowship award are eligible to apply for admission. A. Candidates in the extended KVPY merit list are not eligible.
3. JEE Channel a. Candidates seeking admission under JEE channel should have qualified in the JEE Advanced in the year 2023, AND should have a rank within 15000 in the common rank list or in the respective category rank lists (GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD). B. Those who qualified JEE Advanced in any year other than 2023 are not eligible. C. Candidates with JEE Advanced preparatory ranks are not eligible. Candidates seeking admission under this channel do not have to appear for IAT-2023.

Once IISER result is declared, a seat allotment list is declared containing roll numbers of candidates who are allocated seats in BSMS programme through different channels (SCB, KVPY JEE). Candidates can check the first round allotment list on the official website of the exam on July 15, 2025, Tentatively. All candidates whose roll numbers appear in the first round allotment list need to log in to their application portal to download the offer letters.

The expected application fee for IISER Entrance Exam 2025 of various categories is as follow:

 1. INR 2,000/- for candidates applying under General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories.

2. INR 1,000/- for candidates applying under persons with disabilities, persons registered as Kashmir migrants and SC/ST category.

3. INR 8,500/- for foreign nationals. Candidates must note that the application fee is non-refundable.

The portal for document upload and freezing of IISER preferences for IISER 2025 Admissions can be done in the window period in the month of July 2025, tentatively. After accepting the offer and paying seat acceptance fee, the candidate can exercise two options:

1. Candidate can FREEZE the seat (they will not participate in further rounds of counselling),
2. Candidate can FLOAT (they will participate in further rounds of counselling to get their higher preferences). The FLOAT option is activated by default for those who pay the seat acceptance fee. A student who has chosen to FLOAT will be again considered for seat allocation in the next round. If they are eligible to secure a seat in an IISER that is higher in their preference list than the currently accepted one, they will be offered that seat.

IISER is yet to release the IAT 2025 exam notification and dates for online registration. However, as per the previous year trends, it is expected that the IISER 2025 entrance exam application form will start in the second week of April and the last date for doing the online registration will be fourth week of May 2025.

While filling out the online application form for IISER 2025 entrance exam, candidates may fill in incorrect details by mistake or for any other reason. IISER has provided an online application form correction window where all these mistakes can be rectified without losing the candidature.

IISER 2025 Counselling process for admissions to BS-MS dual degree/ BS (IISER Bhopal) degree programmes at various IISERs, IISc Banglore and IIT Madras is underway. The online registration for IISER 2025 counselling is over. The exam officials will very soon announce the IAT 2025 fisrt seat allotment result. 

Only the meritorious candidates IAT 2025 Test will get the opportunity to sit in the IISER 2025 counselling process. Selected candidates in the IISER 2025 will then have to upload the required documents to confirm their seats between June 26 to July 02, 2025, tentatively

If seats in preferred IISERs are filled, then the candidate will not be considered in further rounds of counselling. For example, if a candidate had given only two preferences as IISER-X and IISER-Y, and if the seats in these IISERs are filled, then the candidate will not be considered for seat allocation anymore. This process happens even if the student has not been allocated any seat in previous counselling rounds. 

The release date for the IISER Entrance Exam 2025 answer keys will be the same day after the sucessful conduct of the examination. The answer keys of IISER 2025 will be sent to candidates' registered email addresses along with their answer scripts. Candidates can check the correct answer and calculate their estimated score and hence gauge their admission chances to the IISER participating institutes through email.
