The following items or objects will not be allowed to be carried to the IIT JAM 2026 exam centres. Stationery items such as test-based material (written/printed), papers, notes, Pencil box, pouches, geometry box, pen, scale/ruler, eraser, etc. Electronic devices such as calculators, cameras, electronic pens, scanners, etc. Accessories such as bags, belts, caps, goggles, wallets, etc. Devices used for communication such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, fitness bands, earphones, pager, etc. Eatables (packed or home-cooked), thermos, etc.

How to select IIT JAM exam city?

Candidates will have to select the IIT JAM exam centre city while filling out the application form. They will have to enter as many as two exam cities in preferential order. NTA will try to allot the exam centre according to candidates preferences. However, the final decision will be made by the exam authorities. Candidates has to follow the steps given below to select the exam city of JAM 2025: 1. Visit the JAM 2025 website. 2. In the Exam City Preference section of the JAM 2024 application form, select three cities in preferential order. 3. Complete the application process by paying the requisite application fee. The exam city preference can be changed during the application correction window.

IIT JAM 2026: Admit Card Date (Postponed), Exam Date (Feb 15), Syllabus, Eligibility, Pattern & More

Earlier, the JAM Admit Card download date was January 5. The IIT Bombay has postponed IIT JAM 2026 Admit Card date. IIT JAM Admit Card revised date for printing and downloading will be announced soon. Students are advised to check IIT JAM website regularly for the latest updates.

IIT JAM 2026 exam will be held on February 15, 2026, to get admissions to master's degree and integrated PhD programmes in MSc and MS. JAM 2026 provisional answer key is expected to come in February 2026.

IIT JAM 2026 results will be announced on March 20, 2026. IIT JAM 2026 counselling process is likely to be held in April 2026; only the qualified students will be able to attend the counselling. Students are advised to go through the website for the latest updates and always verify the dates on the official website of IIT JAM 2026 portal.
