IIT JAM 2023 Admit Card has been released by IIT Guwahati on January 11 in online mode on the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) portal. Candidates who had filled out the IIT JAM 2023 Application Form can download the IIT JAM 2023 Admit Card by using their enrolment ID or email ID and password on the portal to see their respective exam centres. IIT JAM 2023 exam was held on February 12 in over 100 cities across India by IIT Guwahati. Both the slots of IIT JAM exam got over at 12.30 PM and 5:30 PM respectively.
The admit card for IIT JAM 2023 is available to candidates in a PDF file. Aspirants need to first download the admit card and thereafter take a clear printout of the same. Candidates need to preserve and keep their JAM admit cards because this is a very important document. Any candidate who will not carry the IIT JAM 2023 admit card will not be allowed to appear for this science entrance exam.
Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to download their admit card for IIT JAM 2023 exam:
Step 1: Open IIT JAM 2023 official website - jam.iitg.ac.in
Step 2: Click on 'JOAPS Admit Card' link- https://joaps.iitg.ac.in/
Step 3: Enter enrollment/ email ID and password
Step 4: Solve the given arithmetic expression
Step 5: Click on the 'Submit' button
Step 6: Check the declaration box
Step 7: Enter virtual signature
Step 8: Click on the 'Download Admit Card' button
Step 9: View and take a printout of IIT JAM 2023 Admit Card
After downloading, candidates need to take a printout of the IIT JAM admit card and carry it to the allotted exam centre along with an original copy of valid ID proof. It may be noted that candidates not carrying their admit card or ID proof at the time of exam will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
In case a candidate is not able to download his/ her admit card then the Chairman JAM of the IIT/ IISc under which the first choice of test city falls may be contacted through phone/ fax/ email. However, while contacting, the candidate should provide his/ her “online enrolment ID, name, email ID, mobile number, mailing address, and city code of the desired test centre (first choice) to get information about the registration number and the name of the test centre allotted,” informs the official website.

Candidates need to thoroughly go through the information on their IIT JAM admit card. If they find any discrepancy in the same, they need to inform the IIT JAM exam conducting authority at the earliest. The information present on the admit card for IIT JAM 2023 is as mentioned below:

Important Instructions on IIT JAM 2023 Admit Card
Candidates need to read the below-mentioned instructions present on their admit card for the IIT JAM exam very carefully.
- Aspirants need to carry their JAM admit card to their allotted test centre along with one photo ID. An original copy of the photo ID card needs to be carried by aspirants as a scanned copy of the photocopy will not be accepted. Photo ID cards that candidates can carry to their IIT JAM exam centre are- College ID, Employer ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar-UID.
- The print of the IIT JAM admit card has to be taken on an A4-size paper by using a colour laser printer (preferably). After taking a printout of the admit card, candidates need to ensure that their signature and photograph are clear.
- Aspirants are advised to visit or locate their exam centre at least a day prior to the exam.
- Candidates need to ensure that their fingertips do not have any coating (example: ink, mehndi, henna, or tattoo) as a biometric system of verification will be done on the exam day.
- Aspirants need to report to their allotted IIT JAM exam centre at least 90 minutes before the exam starts for identity verification.
- Candidates will be allowed to take the IIT JAM exam only after their credentials have been verified by JAM Officials.
- Candidates will be allowed to sit at their allotted seat for IIT JAM 2023, 40 minutes before the exam is scheduled to start. Further, 20 minutes before the exam starts, candidates will be allowed to log in and read the exam instructions.
- Candidates will not be able to log in 30 minutes after the exam has started.
- Candidates will not be permitted to leave their exam hall before the exam ends.
- In the IIT JAM exam, candidates will be provided with a 'virtual scientific calculator' on their computer screen. Candidates are informed that would not be allowed to carry any personal calculators, mobile phones, watch/wristwatches or any other electronic devices inside their examination hall. Also, JAM exam officials are not responsible for the safe-keep of the personal belongings of candidates.
- Candidates are advised against carrying any charts/tables/papers to their exam hall. For rough work, aspirants will be provided scribble pads. Candidates need to write their names and registration number on the scribble pad before using it. When the exam ends, the scribble pad has to be returned to the invigilator.
