What is the MCAER CET?
MCAER PG CET is conducted by Maharashtra Agriculture Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) to shortlist aspirants for admission in PG level courses including Master of Science (MSc), Master of Engineering and Technology (MTech) and Master of Fisheries Science (MFSc) offered at State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) in Maharashtra. A state-level entrance exam, Maharashtra Council of Agriculture Education and Research Common Entrance Test (MCAER CET) are usually conducted in the month of March, every year.
Important: Earlier, MCAER CET was conducted to offer admission to aspirants in professional degree courses offered at the UG level like- BSc (Hons) Agriculture, BSc (Hons) Horticulture, BSc (Hons) Forestry, BFSc, BTech (Agricultural Engineering), BTech (Food Technology), BSc (Hons)Community Science and BTech (Biotechnology) in Agricultural. But now admission in these courses is offered on the basis of an aspirant’s performance in MHT CET/ JEE/ NEET/ ICAR AIEEA.

MCAER PG CET Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for admission through the PG CET exam, candidates should fulfil the eligibility criteria as under:
- Candidates should have completed their graduation degree of at least three years duration in the relevant subject to be eligible for MCAER CET 2020
- They should have secured at least 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA score on a scale of 10 in their bachelor degree if belonging to open category.
- In case of reserved categories including, Schedule Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Vimukta Jati (A) (VJ-a), Nomadic Tribes (B) NT-b), Nomadic Tribes (C) (NT-c), Nomadic Tribes (D) (NT-d), Other backward class (OBC), Special Backward Category (SBC), socially and educationally backward class (SEBC), Economically weaker section(EWS) and Physically Handicapped (PH), the candidates should have secured at least 50% marks or 5.0 CGPA score on a scale of 10 in aggregate of all subjects.
- Candidates in the final year of their graduation degree are also eligible to apply for MCAER PG CET 2020.
MUAEB will prepare the final merit list of MCAER CET 2020 on basis of 70% marks secured by a candidate in MCAER CET exam and, the remaining 30% marks from CGPA score in the qualifying degree examination.

MCAER PG CET Admission Process
Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to appear for MCAER PG CET 2020.
Step 1: Apply for MCAER CET 2020 Application Form
Candidates need to fill their MCAER CET 2020 application form online on the official website of the exam. To duly fill the application form for MCAER CET exam, candidates need to upload their photograph as well as pay their application fee online by using State Bank of India Collect link. The fee paid by the candidate is printed on their acknowledgement slip. No separate challan is issued for each CET. It is further informed that if any aspirant wants to apply for more than one CET then he/she needs to pay a separate application fee for each CET.
Step 2: Download MCAER CET 2020 Admit Card
Aspirants can download the admit card for MCAER CET exam from the official website of Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research by filling in details such as – Application Number and Date of Birth.
Step 3: Give MCAER CET 2020
The exam is of two hours duration and comprises of 200 objective type questions. Aspirants need to appear for MCAER CET 2020 exam as per the time and test centre venue mentioned on their admit card.
Step 4: Check MCAER CET Result
Candidates can check their result for MCAER CET 2020 on the official website of the exam by submitting details such as their admit card number and date of birth.
Step 5: Appear for Counselling
MCAER CET counselling schedule and process is released on the official website of the Common Entrance Test for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions. All candidates whose names are displayed in the MCAER merit list need to take part in the counselling round for admission.

Q. What is the application fee for MCAER PG CET?
Ans. MCAER CET application fee to be paid by general category students from the state of Maharashtra, as well as any other state in the country, is Rs 600. On the other hand, the application fee to be paid by reserved category students is Rs 300.
