BSc (Hons) in Banking and International Finance - Batch of 2025
4.4
Interactive, social and high supported university life as a student in London.
Tips: Joining City has been a smooth transition from high school. I have found the university to be quite supportive when it comes to the different facts of student life in London. I did not avail of any scholarships as I applied through Clearing. However, the City does have academic scholarships for post-final exams wherein a certain part of tuition is cut off if you are within 10% of the highest scores. I have enjoyed my journey at City and London both. It has been a life-changing experience which I can positively say would have a great impact on my life in times to come.

MSc in Data Science - Batch of 2024
4.1
Satisfied - worth the money
Tips: There are a lot of Indian students, so no big cultural shift. There was one scholarship from the university of 2000 pounds which was provided to most of the international students. Very satisfied with the university - better than many higher rank universities at various levels. We get good support from the university.
Likes (Indian Food): It is very easy to get access to Indian vegetables and groceries within London. Though there are a lot of Indian restaurants, the cost of living in London is so high that it is not affordable to eat outside regularly. Cooking is a must - you may eat outside once or twice a week.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): At present, the job market is not that great in the UK where the demand is less while the competition is so high. Especially it is very difficult to get a job with sponsorship. India seems to thrive better. There is a 50% chance for me to settle permanently in this country.

MSc Biomedical Science - Batch of 2026

Balanced academic experience with limited career support.
Tips: Be prepared to take initiative, especially for internships and job hunting. The course is academically strong, but career support can be limited. The shift to a more independent learning style and individualistic culture was noticeable. However, the environment is welcoming and diverse. I received a 3000 GBP scholarship based on my academic performance during admission. I'm satisfied with the quality of education, but wish there were more career support. The UK is a great place to study, though the setting can be tough.
Likes (Value for money): The course offers strong academic content, experienced faculty and access to well-equipped labs at a relatively affordable tuition fee compared to many other UK universities. The scholarship opportunities also help reduce the financial burden. Overall, the quality of education and resources provided justifies the cost of the programme.
Dislikes (Internships): There is very limited support or structured guidance from the university in finding relevant internships for Biomedical Science. Most students have to search on their own, and opportunities are often not aligned with our field or require prior UK experience, which is difficult for international students. This makes it challenging to gain hands-on industry exposure during the course.

It's really nice university, I will recommend it.
Tips: It's a nice place to study, nice education is provided. I have seen many changes in my life after coming to this university. I had a lot of expectations from my university and I am happy all were met. I am satisfied with my course and the university.
Likes (Part time work): It's a really nice place. Healthy relations with everyone. There is good teamwork and they are fair with work. I really enjoyed working with the team. They provide 11 pounds per hour. It's really nice. Happy with my job and I worked in the hospitality industry.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): There are many companies for jobs, they offer good packages. It's a good university for education. They provide proper knowledge for further job requirements. Really happy to get admission to this university.
