Kazan State Medical University is affordable, diverse, and focused on quality education.
Tips: Students should research programs, costs and Russian basics before joining Kazan universities. Transitioning involves adapting to the language, climate and culture. Scholarships like the Russian Government Scholarship cover tuition and allowances. Kazan offers quality education, affordability and cultural diversity. As a foreign student I don't have good exposure to internships. However, we do have clinical classes. Unfortunately, there is a communication gap because the patients speak Russian. If you know Russian you can get good exposure here in Russia.
Likes (Safety): I feel safe as a foreign student at Kazan. It has a multicultural environment and a student friendly atmosphere. However petty theft can occur so I keep my valuables secure. I use licensed taxis like Yandex and avoid unit areas at night. I carry my ID, know the local laws and rely on university resources for support. I stay cautious but confident.

The college provides a great student life for students but the country is quite expensive.
Tips: Before joining this college, students need to prepare for winter by bringing jackets and boots. They also need to bring a white doctor's apron. Since most students cook for themselves, they should bring masala. Students should also bring over-the-counter medicine for common illnesses, as medicine is expensive in this area. There are many teachers for a single subject, and they teach practically. Our university has notes of its own, and they teach in English and Russian. The Russian language teacher takes students to museums, parks, and zoos each week. There are separate buildings for anatomy, biochemistry, and all other faculties. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the course, university and the country.

The university provides a great learning opportunity for students and hosts several events as well.
Tips: The campus is well connected with transportation. We can take a bus, tram, trolley bus or taxi to get to our destination. There is also a metro in the city. It's affordable, as it only costs 43 rubles to get anywhere. I have become more responsible. In the hostel, we are all Indians staying together, so it's not a problem. The faculty is very good and they help us a lot. Each year, we have a 15% increase in the number of students. If you study well, you will be successful. I am totally satisfied with my choice of university and course. Kazan is a fabulous city.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are few options for food outside and the options available are a bit expensive. However, there are online platforms where you can order Indian food. I prefer cooking myself as it is cheaper and allows me to cook according to my taste buds.

A different world with a good student life and with new responsibilities.
Tips: The college is very good. It has very good faculty and a well-balanced curriculum that includes academics, sports, and cultural activities. The only problem is that it takes six years to complete the program. The internships here have very good exposure because the hospital is in the city centre and everyone comes to it. This allows us to see many kinds of patients, which will make us good doctors. However, there is a language barrier, so start learning Russian as soon as possible. The food at this university is very bland, so if you are an Indian student, you should bring your own spices and utensils so that you can cook your own food. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences snd the country.

The university is wonderful and it has the best campus, facilities and faculty.
Tips: Before joining, students should know about hostel life, food, and other expenses. Students should bring their own spices, as spicy food is not widely eaten in Russia. Students can earn money while studying by doing various part-time jobs. The people in Russia are very friendly and helpful.
Likes (Safety): The city is very safe. I could go anywhere at any time, and even the nightlife felt safe. There were police officers everywhere, and they would check our visas and passports if necessary. If we needed help, we could contact them at any time.
Dislikes (Internships): The college is the best. It provides the highest quality education to its students. The college also encourages opportunities for student betterment. The seniors are very helpful and provide us with proper notes. The staff at the college is the best, and the services provided by the college are very good.

The university is good but it is very tough to get a scholarship.
Tips: Before joining this college, students should know that there is a bit of a cultural shift. The rules are a bit stricter than in India. Scholarships are available, and I have received them. To qualify, you need to score above 80% in every subject. If you score above 90% in every subject, you will receive a 15% scholarship. Overall, I am satisfied with the college.
Likes (Public transportation): The public transportation system has lots of options, including metro, tram, bus, electric bus, and cabs. The frequency of the transport is every 10 minutes, and it is comfortable to travel across the city. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive.
Dislikes (Internships): There is less clinical exposure at this university because the hospital is very clean and patients with infectious diseases rarely visit. However, there are a decent number of patients in other departments. Another reason for the low clinical exposure is the language barrier.

A fun and loving experience
Tips: Be prepared for the cold weather. For the FMGE exams start preparing in your 4th year. It takes one extra year in Russia to graduate in MBBS. The expenses each month can be up to 20,000 rubles minimum. Also the recent war has increased the prices of day to day items .
Likes (Student Life): Great environment and facilities. Very safe and friendly. You will have great experiences. Its basically everything that you can expect of a modern city. It has great facilities, good transport system and decent people. The lifestyle is great and comfortable.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): It depends on the person, if you learn the language well and are ready to serve for lower pay grades then its good for permanent immigration. Also the expenses can increase over time and the cold weather can be bothersome sometimes. The faculty during the last year is kind of strict and you will need to focus more .

My experience in Kazan state medical university was good.
Tips: If you are ready to overcome your fear of leaving home for studies then it will be worth it. Also, stay away from fraud consultancies as they would charge you a handsome amount of money and won't help you after. Many students have to face this issue, so be careful.
Likes (Internships): Internship in kazan state medical university is best in Russia as after completing the MBBS course, students always worry about their internships. So, here you would find yourself at ease to complete your internship. And teachers help international students in every way possible.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are no Indian food options over here and mostly non veg food is available everywhere. Those who choose to be vegetarian, have to reconsider their choices because no vegetarian food is available in this country. People generally cook for themselves.

Kazan State Medical University is a good university with an affordable fee and strong curriculum.
Tips: Moving to a new country for college can be difficult for some students. The weather and culture can differ from what they are used to. Also, very few people speak English, so language can be an issue. The winters are freezing. The faculty at this university are great. They are very helpful and teach quite well. There can be a language issue in the beginning, but you can learn Russian as it is necessary for day-to-day life and also helps with various future activities and internships. So, learning Russian is a necessity.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The food options are quite limited, especially for vegetarians. There are very few options for Indian food here, as most of the food is Western vegetarian. If you are a non-vegetarian, there are lots of options, especially chicken. If you can cook your own food, it is quite easy to survive here.

Kazan State Medical University is academically oriented and has excellent curriculum.
Tips: I experienced a slight culture shock when I first arrived at Kazan State Medical University, but I quickly adapted to the city, the culture, and the people. The university excels in knowledge, has good teachers who speak English and provides a healthy environment. Kazan is a beautiful city that offers a good lifestyle. Russia is a safe and developed country. I was admitted to the university through a contractor. The admission criteria were that I had to qualify for Neet UG and have a score of 60 or above in English, Biology, and Chemistry. I am satisfied with the country, university and the course.
Likes (Part time work): I had enough time to do part-time work while I was a student at Kazan State Medical University. The pay was good, and I was able to cover my university fees with my part-time earnings. The average daily payout ranged from 500 to 3000 rubles, depending on the job.
Dislikes (Internships): If you know Russian well, then internships are great for practising medicine. However, if you don't know Russian, it can be difficult to practice. Medical internships are available for fifth- and sixth-year students who know Russian well. Applying for an internship is easy because everything is available online.

Kazan State Medical University is hectic and disciplined schedule.
Tips: The transition after coming here was easy. We felt cold only outside the house, inside the house it's always hot, so there's no problem with such cold conditions. Regarding scholarships, we can get them every year, like 15,10, and 5% of the total year's fees. The faculty are very good at explaining things and are always willing to answer questions. The case discussions are one of the best parts of the classes. The teachers also discuss the patient's complaints and work with the doctor on the patient. We get a lot of hands-on experience, including injecting, patient care, and exposure to the hospital. In addition, some specialists teach specific subjects.
Dislikes (Indian Food): The food is expensive, and there are fewer vegetable options. Also, the Indian restaurants are expensive. However, there are some good vegetarian options, such as "swarma."

The college is strict and it requires hard work and determination to become a doctor.
Tips: The course will be difficult, so be prepared for a hard life. Modules of two or three subjects will be presented every other week, and they are not a joke. The faculty at Kazan State Medical University are excellent teachers who are dedicated to their students. They won't pass you unless you prove your worth, and the minimum passing grade is 70, so it can be a bit challenging. You will need to study to pass no matter what, and there will be several presentations and assignments due almost every week. That's it.
Dislikes (Indian Food): I cook for myself because being a vegetarian is difficult here. There are a few restaurants that serve vegetarian food, but they are far. There are no international restaurants, but Russian restaurants provide the same service with different names.

It is a very good university. The faculty are knowledgeable and teach us in English.
Tips: Accommodation facilities are very limited. On the plus side, the environment is very conducive to learning, and students have the freedom to link their studies with other co-curricular activities. However, sports facilities are very limited, and cricket is not one of them.
Likes (Safety): There are numerous activities available, both on and off campus, to keep you engaged and entertained. Although Kazan is a relatively small city, it has a lot to offer, especially if you are an active person. All in all, it's a very good city to live in.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Most of the teachers are graduates of the university, so they can share their own experiences on how to get through a particular subject. They are very knowledgeable and always willing to help students learn. While the main language of instruction is Russian, the faculty also speaks English, so there is no language barrier for Indian students.

The college provides a hostile environment for students and is stress free.
Tips: Before joining Perm State Medical University, you should know that the winters are very cold, with snowfall from mid-November to March-April. You will also meet people from many different cultures and regions, which will broaden your knowledge of the world. The university does not provide scholarships, but students who do well overall can get a concession on their fees, ranging from 5% to 15%. This depends on your yearly attendance and performance in class and exams.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation in Perm is very convenient and comfortable. The fare is just 38 rubles, and you can go as far as you want with that ticket. There are many buses, trolleybuses, trams, and the metro available, and the Yandex map shows the bus timings.
Dislikes (Indian Food): There are two restaurants with Indian cuisine but as a student, I can't eat at the Indian restaurants very often. A cheaper and quicker option for food would be more convenient. Students coming should bring all the Indian masalas so that they don't miss home-cooked food while living here.

An enriching and supportive college experience.
Tips: Familiarity with the local culture and climate will also help in adjusting quickly. The transition was smooth, but adapting to the cultural norms and social dynamics took some time. Differences in communication styles, teaching approaches and campus life were noticeable. Embracing diversity and participating in events helped me integrate better.
Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is highly efficient, well connected and reliable. It makes commuting to and from the campus hassle-free and convenient. The campus is centrally located and well connected with various parts of the city through buses, metro lines and ride sharing services. Frequent routes and stops close to campus make travelling easy for students.
Dislikes (Quality of faculty): Some faculty members are highly knowledgeable and engaging, but others are not as effective at communicating or adapting to students' needs. There is room for improvement in maintaining consistency across the teaching staff. Most faculty members are approachable and willing to help students during office hours or via email but accessibility varies as some professors are more proactive in engaging with students than others.

The faculty of is specialized in their fields and we have practical trainings.
Tips: The university is approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools. It is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) (now NMC) and several other international medical councils. The faculty at Kazan State Medical University is international and English-speaking. The most popular faculty for international students is the General Medicine Faculty, which offers a six-year MBBS program. The faculty focuses on theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and clinical exposure. There are very few Indian restaurants and grocery stores in Russia. The Indian population in Russia is relatively small, leading to fewer Indian restaurants and grocery stores catering to Indian cuisine. Most Indian students and workers are concentrated in major cities like Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kazan, which may have some Indian eateries, but these are scarce in smaller towns.

The university is strict and has strong academics.
Tips: I got a scholarship at my college in Russia. To get one, you need to focus on your studies and have good attendance. The criteria are listed on the official university website or you can ask your counsellor before joining. You will have to do a lot of cooking because Indian food is not very available. And keep in mind the language barrier.
Likes (Safety): It is pretty safe around here. You don't have to worry about your safety. The police are always patrolling the city. However, you should keep your documents safe, as they are your only identification here. You may be asked to show your documents at any time.
Dislikes (Part time work): Our college doesn't allow us to work very long shifts because it can impact our studying. However, you can work small shifts if you have mastered the Russian language because without it you won't be able to earn much money.

The college is good with the right curriculum for a medical aspirant.
Tips: Initially my college experience was a bit difficult but I did some how adjusted to the surroundings and also learned a lot about the people and cultures there. Scholarships may be available but you need to do your research on the college's website to find out what they offer.
Likes (Value for money): The fee structure at this college is flexible and I haven't encountered any problems so far. The tuition fee is justified in terms of the quality of teaching and the curriculum. The lab and teaching gadgets are well updated which helps students understand the subjects better.
Dislikes (Indian Food): Indian food is not available. So I taught myself how to cook and now I am happy. There is a local market nearby where you can buy vegetables at reasonable prices. If you are a non vegetarian you will have no problem finding food that you like. The market is safe to visit and healthy food is available.

The university is average and lacks to provide opportunities to students.
Tips: Before applying to a university, you should do your research and learn from a reputable source. Mari State University is in Yoshkar-Ola, a small town where things are not fancy. There are also language barriers, so make sure to learn some Russian if you choose to apply. Extreme temperatures are an additional negative. If you are a medical student, a part-time job is out of the question. There are no high-paying jobs either. People usually get menial labour jobs, like working in a chicken factory or something similar. Some of my friends have gotten injured while working at a lumber mill.

Good friendly nature and heart whelming experiences.
Tips: Russia is way safer than the US, UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia. More than 4,00,000 international students were enrolled in Russian universities as of January 2023. More students are enrolling each year. International students often hang out together, so you'll probably enjoy great company most of the time. There are many festivals and activities held on campus. We all celebrate Indian festivals as well. There are a number of people who are very keen to learn about our culture and experiences. The faculty os outstanding and very helpful. The college is average and there are hardly any practical classes.
Tips: There are no scholarships as of now and my parents pay for all my expenses. It's an average university and you'll get time to do a lot of self-study, but there are much better universities than this one, so please choose wisely. The practical classes have a very average approach here. Russian people may get the desired exposure, but Indians may not. There are few opportunities for clinical practice, so if you want to succeed, learning Russian will definitely help. Due to the language barrier here, most people prefer to work with Slavic people, and it becomes difficult to communicate with people on a daily basis because they don't speak English. Therefore, it's hard to find part-time jobs. As an MBBS student, I also have limited time for part-time jobs, so I personally prefer not to work.

Our college provides quality education. The faculty are well educated.
Tips: The university arranged an olympiad test in many subjects for students who got first rank in the university and by giving prizes and some kind scholarships. There are many options in our city for students who want to work and study at the same time such as cafe and factory package work or delivery service work, etc. The pay is good enough that we could easily manage our rent, food, and other expenses as students while we study. I think it's very nice to have this option available, and I think we can manage work and school. Indian food here is available, but not the same kind of Indian food we get in India. Russian food is not spicy the way Indian food is. The price of food here is a little higher than it is back home. Our university campus has a canteen where you can eat pizza, burgers, and fries. It's also a nice place to sit down for a coffee or a meal.

Faculty are renowned for their exceptional teaching and unwavering dedication to student success.
Tips: I’m very happy to be a student at such a wonderful university. I’ve learned so much about different cultures, which is important because my university embraces diversity and inclusion. Because of my faculty’s expertise and passion, I’ve also benefited from a transformative learning environment. The fifth year and internship were valuable inclusions and gave me hands-on experience in the field. The university has high standards, but limited partnerships with industry. This makes it harder to find internships. So, for any student studying in India, it's essential to be proactive and persistent in your search.

Great university with advanced technologies and updated syllabus.
Tips: Students should know that MBBS is not easy. You will have to study a lot. And as long you give your best the teachers will appreciate it and help you in becoming the best version of yourself. The local people are friendly. The neighbourhood is safe. The university campus is big and pretty accessible. The library is one of the best where a student can study. The sports department is very involved and encouraging. If the student is sincere then the teachers also try their best to help the student to the best of their capabilities. The faculty's ability to break down complex problems in an easy manner for the student to understand is truly commendable and worth appreciation. I came here as a transfer student from Ukraine, and I can't say enough good things about it. You should definitely consider this university if you want to get an education in Russia.

The university is decent and lacks many facilities.
Tips: After coming here, you'll find that the life of every student is going to have its ups and downs. It's nothing out of the ordinary, but keep going because you’ve already come so far. Focus on your studies and try to self-study as well. Every person here minds their own business and doesn't try to interfere in other people's business. It's quite good, and safety is just awesome even though girls are roaming outside at night. I like the safety here because even though girls are roaming outside at night, there are no safety issues at all. I prefer to cook for myself, as the restaurants are very expensive, and I can't afford them. However, I still go to a restaurant once a month to try something new, and to break from the monotony of my own food. There are restaurants that are decent for Indian food. In conclusion, my experiences dining out in the area where I live have been decent, and I feel confident that I have enough to choose from.

There are no such jobs for the field which I choose. We are required to take exams. Surgeons and many more opportunities you can get after graduation here. You need to take a medical entrance test in India after graduation here after that you can do post-graduation. You can do a part-time job in the weekends. Payout for the part time job depends on the work you choose. We can get min 500- 600 rubles per day in every job which are available here. And it is good to bring some spices and cooking materials like vessels from India. As an Indian student living abroad, the biggest challenge I face is finding food I like. We are used to having way more options and materials for meals in India than are available here. I'd recommend packing your own cookware and spices from India to make it easier to cook meals that you like. We feel safe here at Mari State University, and this is because they have strong security protocols and measures. As students, we need to keep in mind that there are other students and staff who we need to respect. I have noticed that some students have problems regarding the issues with the locality, but I think that this is a good place to study.

The university is good and the classes are engaging and interactive.
Tips: Students who wish to study at the University of Mari State should familiarize themselves with the area and its climate. They should also learn about the schools policies and schedule so they can familiarize themselves with the study programme and how long they will be away. Students who are studying abroad should also prepare themselves for the transition by practising some basic cooking skills that will help them survive. This will give them more flexibility and prevent them from having to rely on familiar or potential unhealthy food. It would also be wise to learn more about where you're going to be living and what is available in the area. It's always best to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
Likes (Value for money): I think that the best thing about studying here is that the people here are all very friendly. They are super helpful and try their best to support the students who study here. I never have to worry about my safety, which is a big plus. I can explore the area without feeling like I'm in danger. Being able to have access to everything and be able to participate in all sorts of things like sports and culture is a great perk too.
Dislikes (Part time work): In our classes here, the teachers are all friendly and teach us everything we need to know. They even provide all the materials we need to prepare for class and hold interactive sessions to keep us engaged. They provide us with all the practical and theoretical knowledge for the topics and I'm very satisfied with the teaching quality.

Affordable with best quality.
Tips: Students check out a video or vlog that gives you a closer look at the university. If you have any concerns about the cost of attending the university, or if you need information about student accommodations, you can find those answers there, as well as things like how reliable public transportation is in the area, and whether it's possible to get Indian spices if you're worried about being too far from home. The university itself is in a lovely small town, but if you're coming from a different country, you'll want to know that and be prepared for the pace of life that goes with it. Here we have 4 libraries that are always available for the students to use. They celebrate culture festivals with great enthusiasm. You can feel the diversity of the culture on campus. They also provide a free gym, and there are also cultural and Indian festivals celebrated from time to time. The faculty are well experienced in all subjects, with digital methodology and clinical correlation. These universities provide other courses besides medicine. It is one of the best universities in Mari El Republic, and Indian and Egyptian students study here with other international students.

Good in multi dimensional aspects and studies.
Tips: There was a big cultural shift when I got here, not only because of the location but also because of the language. Since there were other Indian students, I got used to it pretty quickly, and we all learned to appreciate each other's cultures. I find that the pace of life here and the mindset of people is very different. It can be challenging to understand how some things work, like public transportation and scheduling appointments. But the lifestyle here is very different from Indian culture, which is pretty nice. I'm used to the food by now, and we eat as a group, so it's definitely made the transition easier. Teaching is normal, but few teachers make it worth it. They teach using Indian books for us to understand better, and they give coaching from Indian doctors who give us cash courses for subjects we need.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): As for permanent immigration or settlement, you need to have a job, and that's a problem. You'll have to be fluent in Russian, and that's not easy. If given the chance to immigrate here, I wouldn't. In comparison to India, the pay for the same job isn't enough, and the winters are too harsh.

Mari State University has good academics but it can be stressful.
Tips: I feel the hostel conditions are bad. In single rooms, nearly six students are living. The rooms are very small and the kitchen is only on the ground floor. Students on the fifth floor would have to go all the way down to the ground floor to use the kitchen. There's only one Indian restaurant here, and it opened three or four months ago. The food is a little overpriced, and there aren't a lot of other Indian food options here. The restaurants in my city are expensive, and the food isn't very good. Sometimes, it's fine, but most of the time, it's not that good. Students should know that they can get many part-time jobs that pay by the hour. Many of the jobs are at places like chicken factories or similar places. If a student is properly documented, they can make good money, day by day, at these places.

The college is nice and the curriculum is tough.
Tips: You should be ready and mentally prepared for whatever comes your way. Don’t trust too easily. Learn cooking before you come here. You won’t be spoon fed here and you have to thrive. I personally haven't had any bad experiences but I have heard a few incidents where the city isn't very safe at night. So I guess if you hear something like that it sticks in your head. However if you’re thinking of renting an apartment here you’ll have to be extremely careful. I also understand that neighbours can be very strict in this area as well. It would be great if there were more options for vegetarian food outside the dorm. I've tried that one Indian restaurant near campus but the food doesn't taste very good.

Amazing experience, good vibes and enjoyable campus life.
Tips: Rostov State Medical University is an amazing university. You’ll have a great experience here. No cultural shift, a lot of Indians are here, local people are friendly and helpful as well. The faculty is amazing. They are very helpful, always trying to make students better. They explain everything, clear doubts regularly, are easy to understand, and make studying fun. I had a great experience here, and I recommend this university for anyone to come and study, so you can start your career. Student life is amazing. Classes are there throughout the day, with breaks in between, college life is fun and enjoyable. There is a gym, a good canteen to get food, and a library where students can study before going back to class. Very satisfied with the university, the course and the amazing country to visit.

The university is friendly and very welcoming.
Tips: There was no problem with my admissions process, which makes me feel grateful that I chose this university. Both cultural and academic events are well maintained at the school, which further shows how much this school cares about its students. The university is excellent. It has international facilities, a simulation centre for practice, well-equipped education systems, and well-maintained blocks for all students studying from all departments. The university also has the latest technology investment to improve student excellence. Permanent settlement is only possible if we work or marry a Russian citizens. To obtain Russian citizenship, we must work for more than 6 years or marry a Russian citizens. One significant downside to immigration is the need to learn Russian to survive here. I am very happy with this university and its education system, and I'm very grateful for the support I receive from the teachers and the school in general.

The college has modern infrastructure. It provides visual learning aids.
Tips: When I first came here, everything was so new. I had to adjust myself. It was not very hard, though. It was my first time away from home, but everything went fluently and here I am already in the sixth semester. Public transport here is great. All of the major city points are connected via multiple means of public transport, and it's cheap. I use public transport most of the time, including when I'm going to college. The buses are clean, safe, and quiet. Part-time jobs are tough to come by in Russia. It's mostly because our class schedule is jam-packed, and we don't have a lot of time to look for work. Second, the language barrier is tough to overcome; employers usually want us to be fluent in Russian, which is hard for students who don't speak the language natively. I have learnt a lot after coming to Russia. I think it was one of the best decisions in my life to go to Russia to study.

Mari State University has a diverse campus with highly knowledgeable faculty.
Tips: I did experience the language barrier before coming here. I thought many people would know English but I was wrong. You should learn Russian to get around here, although it is not mandatory. They provide scholarships to students who are coming through a consultancy, too. There's a variety of transportation options available in the city centre where the campus is located. Students can choose between cabs, trams, buses, and metro and it is relatively affordable, costing between 30 and 35 rules per ride, which I appreciate. The transportation options are relatively safe, and the students can travel without any concerns.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Permanent immigration to this country is impossible because the university only provides temporary residence to students and that temporary residence is only for the duration of their studies. Regardless of whether or not it was possible to permanent immigrate, I wouldn't want to live here because of the weather conditions, among other reasons.
