Post-Degree Diploma in Data Analytics - Batch of 2023
3.6
Assignment oriented, sometimes hectic college with decent faculty.
Tips: College is in an easily accessible area but finding accommodation near the college is going to be a great challenge. A big migrant population means exposure to a lot of different cultures and we should be respectful to them. Scholarships are for students with financial difficulties so I did not apply for any, people who need them can research more about them on colleges' website.
Likes (Safety): Vancouver is in general a safe city, there are certain no-go regions in the city due to the drug epidemic but a lot of them are harmless, but they do make you feel uneasy in public transportation. You can travel alone at 2 in the morning, given you ignore certain regions and you will be fine.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): Job market in Canada is down and you have hundreds of applicants for a single job. People do not get any response from the recruiters. Trying to network is also hard as people are being bombarded by people seeking employment in their organisation. Entry-level jobs require 3+ years of experience with knowledge of multiple tools that are obsolete in general.

Overall the experience and feel is good. You get to know different people from different culture.
Tips: The students should know that the mechanism of studying abroad is different than in India. Here there is more practical than theoretical. And there will be assignments every week and exams after every 2 to 3 weeks plus the semester is 2.5 months only.
Likes (Public transportation): Student life is also pretty good here. Like we have a whole different building for the student union where students can meet, hang out, do their assignments together and many more things. It also helps students make new friends. Therefore I rate 5 on student life.
Dislikes (Part time work): The faculty here is pretty good and they make time for students outside the class too. Like they do after class hours. We can make an appointment and can meet our instructors. They also make sure that everyone is coping well with studies and give feedback too.

Connection and confidence at CapU.
Tips: The professors are very friendly, and the small class sizes make it so much easier for you to connect with them and your fellow peers. Student life is amazing. If you are someone with good communication skills and are passionate about things, there are also a lot of very fun volunteer and work opportunities on campus. It's in the mountains with a beautiful neighbourhood. Public transportation is very convenient, reliable, affordable and highly accessible. I spend around 500 per month on public transportation. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences..

A supportive and practical learning experience at CU.
Tips: Students should be aware that Capilano University provides a supportive and engaging learning environment, particularly for international students. The class sizes are small, which means you get personalised attention from professors. However, it is essential to be proactive and get involved in clubs, events, and Work-Integrated Learning opportunities early on. Also, prepare financially; living costs in North Vancouver can be high, so plan your budget carefully.

Associate of Science Degree - Biology - Batch of 2021

4.6
Capilano University offers diverse programs and a supportive campus.
Tips: The programs are diverse and I enjoyed being involved on campus. The transition to independent living and embracing cultural diversity was challenging, but I am very satisfied with my experience, course, and life in Canada. Although I was not aware of the scholarship opportunities, there are various options available so make sure to check them out beforehand.

Business Administration Diploma - Batch of 2025
Offered by Capilano University
4.5
Capilano University can actually make a difference in future.
Tips: There are a lot of differences between India and Canada, including cultural, traditional, and social differences. However, after a while, it all makes sense, and you can adjust. If you have good friends to study and hang out with, life is good. The tuition fee is a bit expensive compared to India, but it is justified considering the foreign experience and other facilities provided. Overall, I am satisfied with my experiences here.
