The Indian Community at NJIT is amazing and very diverse.
Tips: I believe there's not much that students must know before coming here. The college handles everything really well, and you get accustomed to the university really quickly. You will only have to worry about your academics, and apart from that, it's just a hill time at NJIT. The faculty is helpful. You can reach out to them in case of any doubts or queries. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences.
Likes (Safety): Safety is not much of a concern at NJIT. The campus is pretty safe for students, and people take care of each other very well. Although I didn't have many safety issues at NJIT, I've heard stories. Overall, I'd say there's not much to worry about if you're with the right people and take care of yourself.
Dislikes (Student Life): Student life at New Jersey Institute of Technology is quite decent. People are cool here, and they are very helpful. The Indian Community at NJIT is amazing and very diverse. There are a lot of events that one can attend, so you can learn new things and move forward.

The cost of living is high and part-time job pay system is messed up.
Tips: This is a very costly college and they are very strict about academics. You have to spend at least 50-60L for graduation here. Apart from that, it is a fine college. The neighbourhood is very costly, with high competition for part-time jobs. 80% of the time you can't speak English.
Likes (Indian Food): I like the pizza on campus. It is delicious and affordable. There's also some sushi, but that's about it for food options on campus. There are some nice restaurants in Jersey City, but most of them are Gujarati, so the food is bland or sweet. Good south Indian food is hard to come by.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): The college doesn't have many on-campus recruitment opportunities. After graduation, you're on your own to find a job. Newark and New Jersey are places where you can find work, but there's a lot of competition for part-time jobs. The areas are expensive, and the college is expensive.

Overall this college is a good choice.
Tips: Before joining one should check how financially strong they are and also depends on one's area of interest and aim in their life. But on overall basis it is the best college. People nearby are mostly Indians and especially from Telugu states hence it will be good choice for women if they are having any safety concerns.

The university has portals where students can apply for internships.
Tips: Before joining RIT, students should be aware of various things, including internship opportunities, living expenses, university faculty, and the program outcome. Professors help get RA/TA positions, and that helps a student's profile stand out. There are many on-campus jobs available, including RAS and TAS, that students can apply for through the college's online portals. The professors are helpful, too. The university does a good job of letting students know about available jobs. In addition, the research experience you get as an RA or TA gives you an edge when you're applying for internships. Overall, I am fairly satisfied with my experiences here.
Dislikes (Internships): The university has portals where students can apply for internships. The university helps students with their applications and with resume building. There are also research assistantships and teaching assistantships available for students, and this research experience helps them with their future careers. Internships showcase your profile.

Strict on plagarism be carefull while doing assignments
Tips: Stressful academics and apart from this everything will be soothing in the college. Very helpful faculty members and good part-time job opportunities, one more good thing about this university is it offers co-op (CPT) which most of the universities won't support.

Focus is important to get the best results here. Apply early.
Tips: Be prepared to start hunting for internships when you arrive. If you are concerned about accommodation costs, look for off-campus options as they are cheaper. Start looking for a part-time job when you get here. The easier part-time jobs will allow you to earn in dollars and cover your rent and food expenses. Focus on your studies.
