Nordic life and medical engineering.
Tips: Well, students coming from Asian countries should be prepared for a more introverted kind of life, especially if they are coming on their own. Be prepared for a huge cultural difference and be able to adapt to European foods. I got a 50 percent scholarship, which covers half of my tuition fee. I got it while applying for a seat in the university. I am satisfied with the university and the country, but the language is a huge barrier. If we learn Finnish, it will open a lot more doors. Student emergency services are always there to ensure student safety even outside of the campus. There are student support stands all over the city centre that assist in case anyone needs it, and the police here also take student safety seriously.
Dislikes (Indian Food): It's tough to find good Indian food here because Oulu is located in a very remote area of northern Finland. Since it's so remote, the Indian population here is small, and the only Indian restaurant that is available serves the vast majority of the Indian residents here. As a result, many ingredients commonly found in Indian cuisine are simply not available in this area. Therefore, I suggest that you bring your spices from India if you can.
