Focus on studies instead of getting part time jobs

Tips: Get to know staff maybe connect with them on LinkedIn. Check whether the lecture happens online or offline since one of our modules is almost entirely online. Along with that see how the marking scheme is for each module that you want to go for so it would help to plan your study in advance.

Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation is good, cheap and less crowded. You have lot of options to travel by bus, subway and train. If you are about 20 years old then you get a free bus and train pass from the university whic...

Place of useful learning!

Tips: Surely there was a transition after coming here, so be prepared for that. It takes time to fit into the environment and their culture. I was very satisfied with the curriculum of the university and the course. In the uni, they also organize different events, for the students around the world. This was an amazing experience.

A place of useful learning

Tips: Apart from the weather which is constantly rainy, the transition was pretty easy as there are so many Indian students. It is always easy when the roommates are from the same country. I did get a scholarship for my course and I recommend checking for it beforehand.

Likes (Quality of faculty): The faculty is very approachable, knowledgeable and kind when it comes to Strathclyde. This is especially true for mechanical engineering professors. Every professor is ready and willing to give their time to students. The quality of f...

Amazing teaching experience.

Tips: I faced difficulties adjusting to the academic and social norms. There are many scholarships available to international students based on academic excellence, but students should apply early to get any scholarships. Overall, Glasgow is a great city. The university has brilliant teaching faculty and provides many opportunities.

Challenging yet exciting

Tips: It was an overwhelming experience irrespective of a total study pattern change there was satisfaction in achieving the challenge. I became a great communicator, a more disciplined and outgoing personality. I am really happy to be in Scotland as the people are very warm and welcoming, always ready to help. I was also associated with the Indian society community at my university which is why I never missed a single festival whether it's holi, diwali or durga puja. I am satisfied with my university...

University is great in every aspect with good facilities and also have a great library to study.

Tips: Talking about my course, make sure the modules selected are good because a few modules are outdated in the industry. I would recommend keeping the University of Strathclyde as the second option for Masters in advanced computer Science because it's not advanced and to be honest not worth it.

The computer science studies are satisfying.

Tips: Study pre-requisite for your course. Understand the curriculum and what it demands. I did get a scholarship of 4000 pounds which helped me a lot. I am quite satisfied with the university course and what it offers. It gives an all-round development.

Likes (Value for money): Good course, excellent teaching. As I had received a scholarship of 4000 pounds I had to pay a little less tuition fee so I felt that much fee amount was justified considering it's just a one year course. Also, as compared to other countries it felt qu...

The campus crowd is friendly.

Tips: The university is academically oriented with excellent teaching faculty. Students coming here should be prepared to submit assignments on time and within the framework. Attending classes regularly is compulsory. Also, make sure you sort your accommodation before coming. I am enjoying Scotland weather and exploring UK. It is a nice place to roam around and make beautiful memories along with good friends.

University crowd is amazing

Tips: Research the college major minor, and academic goals to ensure they align with your interests and career goal. Some of the modules in my course were unnecessary so I suggest you research before. Learn about campus culture, student organizations and other activities to ensure they match your interests. Understand how the tuition fee works and take care of your expenses.

Great resources and facilities

Tips: There was a cultural shift, and it took time to adjust. But there are fellow Indian students as well, so there isn't any big issue and it helps having people around. The course and curriculum are really good. Glasgow is a really beautiful place to live. You can visit places on weekends. The university has a great library and other resources as well.

Stressful but fun! Enjoy and study harder.

Tips: I did receive a scholarship so students should just apply to as many as they can and with your requirements they will select which is applicable. University life is amazing, there are many facilities on campus which as a fresher feels like paradise. The food price is also reasonable and there are job fairs and career fairs which help a lot.

Internships are hard to find.

Tips: There is a big cultural difference. I didn't get any scholarship. All are okay. Student satisfaction can vary greatly depending on personal preference, academic experience, and cultural adaptability. Some students might find the University of Strathclyde's teaching methods and resources satisfactory with the chosen course as it all depends on factors like curriculum, faculty, and personal interests.

Excellent as compared to other universities

Tips: Before moving here take a look at the job market and job opportunities that depend on companies providing sponsor visas. One has to keep an eye out for the availability in different cities as well where one can get better opportunities. Students should know about the accommodation, part time jobs, study curriculum and many more things like cultural activities and travelling mode for easy access (subways, train, bus) for the university.

Academically enriching experience at the University of Strathclyde!

Tips: Overall life-changing experience as you get to meet new people and learn new aspects of life. Cultural diversity and change might be a bit shocking to some students initially but take it slow and enjoy each moment which would help to cope with your new life here.

Likes (Public transportation): Public transportation facility is quite good as multiple modes of transportation is available like buses, trams, tubes and cabs. Would not suggest taking cabs regularly as it can be quite expensive. Buses and tubes are the best options ...

Good overall. Study hard with determination and don't waste your money on partying.

Tips: Prefer September intake rather than January intake if possible. Many students from my January intake got resisted which is kept in August and the university is not extending their visa as a result they are asked to go back and come back on a tourist visa to give exams. Apply for scholarships on the university website directly.

Tips: Try to book your seat for university accommodation as early as you get your joining letter. If you face any issues before joining the university, try to write them mail through your university mail so that they can solve them easily and quickly. Don't hesitate to mail the university regarding any issue.

Apply early for scholarships.

Tips: You will find many students from India, Pakistan, Nigeria, and China. I applied late, therefore didn't get any scholarship, but the early application can fetch you scholarships. The course is too much overpriced I think. University is superb and lot of good infrastructure in place, sports, gym, library etc.
