You will evolve as a person as well as academically.

Tips: First and foremost, I believe I have matured as an individual in all aspects. Every day will teach you something that will favourably impact your personality. There is a scholarship for my course; simply check the date and website. The M.Sc. Finance department provides excellent instruction. To be the best, you must have a competitive advantage. Aside from the weather, I believe my experience living in the country was above average.

Not the best university also not the worst. Time management is crucial.

Tips: Need to do proper research about everything before moving here. Should carry all the medicines since the health care is very bad. Course is filled with Indian students. Getting a scholarship is quite possible. Maintaining a balance between assignments and part time job is very difficult.

University has good professor who are willing to help.

Tips: Students need to think about what course, university, or professor would look good on their resume. University also provides a good amount of scholarship like I got a scholarship for 310000. Also, try to start your course in the September intake which will give me more exposure to students.

A great place for learning! It is fun to be here.

Tips: There is a vibrant Indian community in Glasgow. You can always find a piece of home here if you look for it. The cultural shift was not so much in my opinion. As long as you keep an open mind and a warm heart, you will find the college and Glasgow a great place to learn and grow. The faculty has an informal, eloquent and mostly funny way of teaching that keeps us engaged and curious. I was advised that scholarships don't exist but they do exist and most of my classmates saved a good amount of mo...

Good city, average college

Tips: The location of Strathclyde is amazing. The campus and infrastructure is amazing too. Overall Glasgow is a very nice and friendly city to move in, but the college isn't so great. The faculty and college admin are understanding but not very friendly. We barely had classes for 5 months out of the 12.

Likes (Student Life): The student life at Strathclyde is amazing. There's plenty of time to hike and explore Glasgow. There are activities happening all over, the clubs are good and the city life is incredible and safe. Our...

It is a good fancy university, the faculty is helpful and supportive

Tips: There will be a cultural shift, everything is different from the home country, and rules are strict but in a couple of weeks, you know everything and start adapting to it. Meanwhile, there are a lot of people from your home country so you don't feel that lonely, but brace yourself for a few weeks. I received a scholarship of 15% as the university has few of them for engineering students. I am well satisfied with the university and the course I am studying. However, no matter how outstanding the ...

Its overall a good university as companies recognise it worldwide

Tips: Research enough before coming. I availed a scholarship. I got it by sending them a letter. I am satisfied with the country but the course and university is not good overall. I didn't learn much. There was no knowledge value addition and the teaching at the university was not good.

Likes (Student Life): Student life is good. There are all kinds of facilities available on the campus. There are a lot of events available on the campus. I don't participate as I don't have time because of my course which has all kinds of a...

It's a brilliant university and city to live in.

Tips: There are limited options for internships in the university as it is primarily academic. I think with my recent course there will be very few opportunities and also with the kind of sensitive data that needs to be handled, as an HR intern due to confidentiality and privacy involved. Students coming here should consider the expenses and the associated workloads that they might come across being an international student away from home for maybe the first time. It is an emotional roller coaster at ...

Supportive staff and modern facility

Tips: Teachers and university staff are amiable, accessible and knowledgeable. The university also invests a lot in modern facilities. All are well-prepared to support students. The result and quality of the course, therefore, depend on your effort. There seem to be not many competitions in the university so you can look around at some websites to find out and join.

Strathclyde is one of the best universities. The study pattern is a lot practical and analytical.

Tips: I have become an independent individual. I have improved on my decision-making skills and time management. I did experience a culture shock in the initial 2-3 months but overcame it eventually. I haven't gotten any scholarships. Strathclyde is one of best universities, particularly as a business school. The faculty and the teaching methods are quite diverse and different from India. My course is quite interesting and there is a lot to learn and apply. Glasgow has been quite welcoming.

1 year of rigorous learning and personal development

Tips: 1 year courses are hectic. 1st semester is manageable but 2nd semester will be very hectic even if classes are just 2-3 days a week. 2nd semester with a dissertation is a lot to handle at the same time. But you do get time for each assignment deadline so you have to prepare your mind to take one thing at a time and complete the tasks even if they're all given at the same time.

Likes (Internships): Opportunity to do our dissertation from university is good. I'm not sure about the internships but the university has career services and they will help you to find ways of getting a job. Apart from this, for my course, the module head approached the companies for dissertation and shared it with us and we could apply it through college. Interviews were held with the selected students. If a student failed to get into a company for a dissertation he/she had the option to choose a topic of choice a...

Be here only if you want to upgrade and build a career.

Tips: Not to come here for the money. One should be here only if one wants to upgrade to build a career or pursue a course for skill development. The opportunities are limited and everything works here with only a referral as most of the people need to work unskilled work for 3-9 months even after graduating with merit scores. Assignments are challenging and need to be worked out effectively as the passing mark is 50%. People barely score above 75% and the assignments are not like the ones in India wh...

A wonderful, student-friendly, useful and practical place to learn.

Tips: Back in India, we didn't have any assignments as far as my experience. But we do have assignments here. So get ready for it. Know your subjects and method of assessment in the university portal. Talk to seniors from the same courses to clear your doubts and ask them how the course is going to be.

Likes (Public transportation): There are three lines including bus, subway(tube) and trains that connect the cities. Using public transport is not the cheapest option but it does deliver fast transport at affordable rates. The roads ...
