* Eligibility Criteria for an Air-hostess-training programme :
-One needs to pass plus two/ or a graduate degree with a diploma/degree in Hotel Management or Tourism Management.
-The aspirant must be eligible to hold an Indian Passport and should be below twenty-five years of age with a minimum height of 157.5 centimeters. The weight should be in proportion to height.
-One must be unmarried, with normal eyesight of 6/6 uncorrected vision in each eye.
-Fluency in English, Hindi and knowledge of an international language is an added advantage.

You could be eligible for ground staff or ticketing, however, the cabin crew post requires at least 5 feet and 3 inches height for females.

For air hostess training, the eligibility criteria is class 12th. There is no other requirement. Your height should be minimum 150 cms and weight should be around 45 to 50 Kgs as per BMI. To get admission in this course, you have to apply in institutes like:
1. Frankfinn.
2. Jet Airways Training Academy.
The admissions are taken in month of April, August and December in these institutes.

General eligibility criterion for Air Hostess in majority of airlines is as follows:

  • 10+2 pass from a recognised board of education. Some airlines prefer graduates.
  • Age of candidate should be between 18 to 25 years
  • Min height required is 157.5 centimetres and weight should be in proportion to height
  • Good Communication skills with mastery over spoken Hindi, English. Foreign language certification will be good additional qualification.

To become an air hostess, you need to meet the certain criteria required by airlines like height, weight, clear skin, communication skills, etc. For airport ground, they just need graduates or undergraduates with good communication skills and well-groomed personality.
I would suggest you some names, which are providing good training with job placement like IGIA, AHA and IAHM.

Hello Manju, an average height of girl in airlines is 157.5 cm, so yes you are eligible for international cabin crew.

It's not at all important and doesn't matter what complexion u have. All u need is the right attitude and the x factor. you are good to go young lady. and trust me, I hv been a crew for more than a handful number of years
