From what I've heard and seen, the Fine Arts course at Chandigarh University feels like a real hands-on experience. The studios—painting, sculpture, and printmaking—are well-set up, and students get plenty of time to work on their projects. Faculty members are approachable and have a mix of academic and real-life art experience, so they don't just teach theory but also share practical tips. Students get to try different mediums, which makes learning exciting. There are workshops, exhibitions, and occasional interactions with working artists. For a career in fine arts, a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) is generally a better choice than a diploma. A BFA is a professional undergraduate degree that offers a more intensive and in-depth curriculum focused on studio work, while a Diploma is typically a shorter program. A BFA often opens up more career opportunities and provides a stronger foundation for further education, such as a master's degree.

Fine arts are created for aesthetic or intellectual value, without a practical purpose, such as painting, sculpture, and drawing. Applied arts, conversely, involve using design and decoration to create functional, everyday objects that are also aesthetically pleasing, including fields like graphic design, fashion design, and interior design.
