Subjects that we have to study are:
1st semester: Mathematics foundation, Computer Fundamentals and IT, Business Communication, Programming in C.
2nd semester: Discrete Mathematics, DBMS, Accounting, Data structure in C.
3rd semester: Computer Organization and Architecture, Statistics, OOP in C+, Fundamentals of Management.
4th semester: Java, Operating Systems, Visual Basic, Computer Network.
5th semester: Software Engineering, Computer Graphics, Numerical methods, web designing.
6th semester is only about project reports and viva-practicals based on internship projects.

Yes, you can choose a design course like architect after BCA degree. There are various career opportunities in design studios, print and publishing, advertising agencies, television, films, photography, animation, interactive multimedia, exhibition and retail design.
You can select visual communication programmes from WLSI School of Design that provides advanced certification Diploma in visual communication for a graduate.

BCA gives a student with a solid platform to further his career in the field of technology but it is strongly recommended that a student should opt for MCA to further his prospects in this competitive world. BCA is a good course but it is simply a Bachelors level degree and not much importance is given by both private and government organisations especially when compared to a B.tech course.
IT and Computer Engineers who have completed their B.tech program are not only in great demand in IT industries but in sectors like banks, airlines, and manufacturing industry. India is the main outsourcing hub for international projects from the US
