Hi,
Why are you not making your career in digital marketing? It not only gives you the hike in salary and designation, but you can be your own boss.

After BCA, you may not get a good job opportunity and the salary package may also be less. But if you go for MCA then after completing it you will get more options in this field with good salary package and also study Advanced JAVA very well because normally IT companies are focusing more on JAVA and dot net.

Dear Sumit Sharma,
Ultimately, your subject knowledge and domain expertise are the most important factors in cracking a job. Don't keep such negative things in mind, just start looking for jobs instead. All the best.

If you are interested in networking, you need to pursue courses like CCNA. Because, BCA focuses more on computer applications alone as opposed to networking. If you have a good foundation in networking you can get a certification and get started immediately. A certificate from a good organization adds a lot of weight to your career. Or an alternative would be to pursue a career in CS applications, testing coding and try to move internally into the networking department in a year or two.

The scope of networking after BCA is good, but you would be required to get some certifications like CCNA, MCSE and preferably MCSE first, then you can get a decent job. Else, just BCA and without any certification it is tough to get a good job with nice pay package.
You can get a job with starting pay package of around Rs.8000 to Rs.10, 000 for a fresher and that is too, if you are certified. It depends on firm to firm, if you are at a more prominent firm, then they can fetch you more bucks.
