The admission to B.E./B.Tech at Jahangirabad Institute of Technology (JIT), Barabanki will also depend on the JEE Main score and UPSEE counselling only. The selection criteria to the B.E./B.Tech courses of the MLR Institute of Technology are a pass in the 10+2 exams with Physics and Mathematics, and any one optional either Chemistry or Biology. The seat allotment is done through an Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET), conducted by the Government of Telangana, for the merit students. Of these 70% of seats come under this merit system; the rest 30% of the seats come for Management/NRI students. Diploma holders are allowed to enter the second year laterally based on their performance in the Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET) that constitutes 20% of the intake.
