The selection criteria for B.E. and B.Tech courses at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology (VIT) in Mumbai, India depends on the course and the candidate's state: 

B.E.: A minimum of 50% marks in 10+2 with relevant subjects 

B.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering: A minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational, Computer Science, IT, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies 

B.Tech. in Electronics and Computer Science: A minimum of 45% marks in 12th 

B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering: A minimum of 45% marks in 12th 

B.Tech. in Information Technology: Admission is through counseling based on marks in the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) or rank in JEE-Mains 

The procedure to select the candidates who are willing to take B.E./B.Tech course at KJ's Educational Institute, depends in the MHT-CET score or the JEE Main score. It is mandatory that the aspirant has passed the 10 plus 2 examination with fifty percent for PCM for general candidates and forty-five percent for other candidates. The institute also allow those individuals who have completed the Diploma in Engineering and Technology examination with 50% marks and above. It is a centralized admission process (CAP) followed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra of which 70% of seats are available under CAP and 30% of the seats are available under management quota.

The eligibility criteria for B.E./B.Tech admission at KIIT College of Engineering require candidates to have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in these subjects (45% for candidates from reserved categories such as SC/ST). Additionally, candidates must appear for the KIITEE (KIIT Entrance Examination), which is conducted by the college itself for admission to its B.E./B.Tech programs. Alternatively, candidates with valid JEE Main scores may also be considered for admission. After qualifying in the entrance exam, candidates are required to participate in the counseling process for seat allocation. The final selection is based on the entrance exam performance, eligibility criteria, and successful completion of the admission process, which includes document verification and fee payment.
