The eligibility criteria for B.E./B.Tech admission at P.E.S. College of Engineering require candidates to have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in these subjects (40% for candidates from reserved categories such as SC/ST) in the 10+2 examination. In addition, candidates must appear for the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) or COMEDK UGET exam, as these are the primary entrance exams accepted by the college. Admission is based on the scores obtained in these entrance exams, followed by counseling where seats are allocated based on rank, exam score, and availability. For candidates applying under the management quota, the college may also consider other entrance exam scores or conduct its own screening process.

Additionally, candidates must appear for the MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) or JEE Main exam. Admission is primarily based on the scores obtained in these entrance exams, followed by participation in the centralized counseling process conducted by the Maharashtra State Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). For candidates applying under the management quota, the college may consider alternative entrance exam scores or their own screening process.

Admission is typically through the TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counseling process, based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination. The selection criteria for the B.E./B.Tech course at BCET (Bangalore College of Engineering and Technology) are primarily based on the candidate's performance in relevant entrance exams. For Karnataka state candidates, admission is primarily through the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) score. For candidates from outside Karnataka, the COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test) score is commonly accepted. After obtaining a valid score in one of these entrance exams, candidates must participate in the centralized counseling process. During counseling, seats are allocated based on the candidate's rank, entrance exam score, and availability of seats in the desired branch. For candidates applying under the management quota, the selection may also be based on their entrance exam scores or through a separate screening process.
