The selection criteria for admission in P.E.S. College of Engineering for B.E/B.Tech course is for the karnatka residence is a  another competitive exam known as Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). For the other students college also except JEE Mains. The students must passed their 12th from minimum 55% marks and students must have physics, chemistry and maths from the recognised school and college.

The selection criteria for B.E. / B.Tech courses at Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET) are based on the candidate's performance in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) or COMEDK UGET, along with the minimum eligibility requirements. To apply, candidates must have passed the 12th grade or an equivalent examination with at least 45% marks in Physics and Mathematics, along with one other subject. Candidates will be selected based on their entrance exam scores and eligibility.

The selection criteria for this institute that one should have minimum of 45% in their 10+2 examination.
