Generally, FMS-Delhi's cut off is very high around 99.99 percentile. Even for OBC category, it wouldn't be less than 99 percentile.

Yes, you can join a private college, if you are going for B.Com/BBA than you will get fairly good amount of time for CAT preparation. If you are pursuing Engineering than attendance matters and you will get only 6-7 hours for preparation.

As far as I know, CA exam is much more competitive and tough than CAT. Nevertheless, you may wish to complete your CA certification and later on apply for MBA, many students do take that path.
