If you are highly interested in a particular field of study: If you are really interested in a particular field of study, there's no point in compromising on the discipline even if you get admission in a very prestigious college. Your priority order should be: branch first, college next. In case you haven't yet identified your interests and want to do so: Go through the course contents of as many different courses as you can. Identify the courses which best suit your skills and interests and choose accordingly. For e. g. if you liked technical drawing in Class 12, you could do well in Engineering Design or Mechanical engineering. With specialisation in Product Design (correct me if I am wrong). Once you do this, choose a college which is renowned for this particular branch. For e. g. if you find that you are interested in Chemical engineering, ICT is a better choice than IITs. If your motivation is money: In this case, you must go through the placement details provided by different colleges, salaries offered to their students by various companies, job profiles etc. In case you surely want to change your line in future: For e. g. some students are keen on pursuing an MBA programme after getting a medical/engineering degree. They should value "college brand" more than their course of study.

Basically both the courses are more or less same. The difference lies is that you can specialise in a certain subject in BBA (H). While as BBA course gives you an overview of all those subjects taught in honour's course. Eligibility for both the courses are same I. e 12th class of any stream whether Science, commerce or arts any board. Course duration of BBA (H) is of 4 years. While as of general is 3 years. Can pursue higher education (Masters) after completing graduation whichever you have completed. As with job opportunities honour's have more chances as compared to general. In BBA (H) depth knowledge of subject is given while general gives overview of subject. Specialisation is possible in honour's while in general it is not possible.
