It's great to know that you have completed graduation from BHU. Yes, pursuing Specialization in energy economics is a good option. With increasing population, energy consumption too is increasing. This bodes very well for future professionals in your proposed field.

After MA in economics, there are plenty of job opportunities available in India. Firstly it's in teaching profession, secondly it's as a finance officer in any company. Else you can appear for civil services examination conducted by UPSC.
