All specialization are equally good and offer equal career prospects as Economist or Statistics in different banks/apex bank and financial firms. Anyone can have jobs like:(a)Specialized officers in different banks/apex bank
(b) IRS (UPSC)
(c) SSC (the) different financial companies or firms.
Accordingly, you can opt either of any courses as
(a) MA in Economics.
(b) M.Com in Economics/Statistics.

In my opinion BA honours in economics is a better option.
It will include all aspects of economics. It will include mathematical and theoretical aspects of economics. It will include micro, macro, statistics, international economics, econometrics. It will be relevant in every field. It is an academic course. It is a vast course. BA business economics will focus more on the business aspects. It will include topics like consumers behaviour, producers equilibrium, demand and supply. It is a professional course. It is a specialised course.

B.Sc is more practical, and BA is more theoretical. B.Sc focusses more on mathematical aspects. It has more number of courses. A B.Sc degree should be your first choice. If you go for an honors course, you get a specialization in the final year.

If you wish, you can opt for your choice of course. If you have 60% marks in 12th, then there are slim chances of getting into DU.
So, you have little options left. IP University, Christ University and others who have an entrance examination like Narsee Monjee.
If you go for other private institutions then Amity University, Galgotia University, etc. are available.

You have the chances assuming that you belong to OBC or SC or ST category, but you will not get admission in the top colleges.
Clarification: DU considers best 4 subjects for calculating the percentage.

Hi Ajay,
Please go through the program curriculum in details. Since you are from a commerce background check which program matches your interests, aptitude and career goals. B.Com will cover subjects related to accounts and finance while a BA economics will cover a wider range inlcuding retail management ,finance, stocks, public relations etc. Its a matter of personal choice so you have to decide accordingly.

You have to score minimum 60% marks for getting a good college in Australia, like Melbourne University, Australia National University, University Of Sydney. Some universities have good recognition in Australia, like Guru Gobind Singh, Indraprastha University, considered A+ University in Australia.
