A majority of universities allow non-economics students to seek admission in MA in economics. You may evaluate MA in economics in a university such as Delhi University by appearing for MA entrance examination.

There are many career opportunities for BA economics graduates. BA Economics graduates are eligible for all government jobs in central and state government, where eligibility criteria is graduation degree. You can evaluate joining civil Services, PSC in state, SSC, etc.
Indian Economic Services is one of the coveted jobs for economics graduates. The Reserve Bank of India also hires economics graduates. A lot of PSUs and public sector banks hires economics graduate for both officer and clerical roles. Economics graduates are also hired as research assistant by consulting firms.

BBA course provides you with some option to settle down as an executive in the corporates. Whereas, economics also provides the economist jobs but the scope is very narrow in the practicality. Therefore, prefer BBA to settle down immediately.
