Chandigarh University offers this mix in a very structured way. Students go for mandatory internships where they connect with hospitals, clinics, and organizations. This gives them early exposure to real mental health settings.

The curriculum also includes practical sessions, role plays, and case studies. These help in building confidence for counseling sessions. Regular guest talks and workshops with psychologists provide extra knowledge that is useful in the field.

Research is another part where students can work on mental health topics and learn how to build solutions. Along with that, training in assessments and therapies is provided

First of all, let me clarify that Chandigarh University Psychology students are not subject to any particular, stringent attendance policies or regulations.  I understand that attendance must be at least 75%.
