The UPSC Prelims consists of two papers: General Studies Paper-I (current affairs, history, geography, polity, economy, environment, and science) and CSAT Paper-II (comprehension, reasoning, and basic numeracy).
Paper-I is used for merit ranking, while Paper-II is qualifying with 33% as the minimum score.
Both papers are objective-type with negative marking and are conducted on the same day.

For PhD programs, TOEFL score usually needs to be above 90, and many top universities want 100 or more. Some programs also look at writing and speaking scores carefully.

No, you do not need to score 90% individually in English, Physics and Chemistry to get admitted to Lovely Professional University (LPU).You need to have a minimum of 60% aggregate in your 10+2 with the relevant subjects chosen according to the program you are willing to apply for. For example, for the program of B.Tech or B.Sc., eligibility is based upon the overall marks you attained in the qualifying exams, which includes the subjects of English, Physics and either Chemistry of Mathematics.
