During 2022 placements, 94% of PG (3-year) students were placed. Earlier, 90% of PG (3-year) students were placed during 2021 placements. Looking at the past three years’ data, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the SMS Medical College placement rate trends for PG (3-year) courses. For detailed analysis refer to the below infographic:

The college has released combined placement statistics for PG (3-year) courses. During 2022 placements, 379 out of 404 PG (3-year) students were placed. Earlier, out of 364 students, 327 were placed during 2021 placements. Take a look at the below table representing the Sawai Man Singh Medical College placement trends for PG (3-year):

Out of 223 MBBS graduates, 115 were placed during Sawai Man Singh Medical College placements 2021. Earlier, 101 out of 205 students were placed during MBBS placements 2020. The table below mentions the total strength and the number of students placed during SMS Medical College MBBS placements from 2019 to 2021:

The SMS Medical College average package is not released officially. However, the median package is released. As of now, the college has disclosed the 2022 median package for PG (3-year) courses, which are as follows:

The cutoff trend for medical Courses at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre has been increasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for medical courses. under general category for all India quota was 16535. In 2022, it increased to 509606.

For last year, the closing rank for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) was 509606 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 431938 and closing rank was 509606. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam NEET. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.
