As of now SSIM PGDM is not equivalent to MBA as the institution has not applied for AIU approval. SSIM is having AICTE approval as well NAAC Rating as well. IF it come to Govt jobs as well as PHD, with an AICTE approved post graduate degree you should be eligible for a PhD program. The different universities prescribe different eligibility criteria for admission into the PhD program.

Good evening !
No, PGDM in ICBM-SBE is not equal to MBA, its importance would be rather lesser than a full time MBA, but for the job in the Private sectors, PGDM is more important.
For P.Hd and Government jobs, you may use this PGDM certificate as well, because not it is accepted for P.Hd. For Government jobs, only Bachelor's degree is required in most of the cases, even if it asks for MBA, PGDM would also be mentioned along with it.
For jobs in foreign countries, both MBA and PGDM are equally good, there is no such difference.
Thank you.

Hi Dhananjay,
Have you decided the Ph.D research area and in which university. Most universities conduct entrance test for Ph.D applicants. You must therefore keep looking for notifications for the same. Job opportunities quite obviously is research oriented and will lead to university jobs and RnD posts in research organizations. Hope this helped.
