A student who has completed his/her 10+2 education with minimum 60% aggregate marks and is from the science and maths background can take up a diploma course in engineering which is of one year and then can directly take admission to the B.Tech after Diploma.

Hello Poorna,
You have set your heart on a very noble subject. Unfortunately for pursuing Ph.D. one needs PG in related subject. Meaning you need to do B.A. & then M.A. in psychology to become eligible for Ph.D. However, based on graduation, you can think of pursuing postgraduate Diploma or certificate in child psychology.

It is very important to follow your area of interest. Fiction writing and psychology can be followed even now no matter a person is from commerce stream. Go ahead by doing graduation and post graduation in psychology from a renowned university. You can even think of doing a doctorate in it if you are really interested in it.
