Dear Ravneesh,
There are a lot of job opportunities after doing MBA in Tourism. After doing MBA in tourism, you can get managerial positions in the tourism and travel industry.
There are a lot of the vacancies in the private sector. You can get jobs in various travel agencies, hotels, airlines, transport and cargo companies, etc.
If you want to start your own business in Travel and Tourism, there is a great scope for you if you do MBA in Tourism. Even in Public sectors, there are a lot of opportunities in the government tourism departments.

There is tremendous scope in tourism and travel management as you can see, each state has come up with their own unique ads describing the beauty of their respective states. You can develop apps helping tourists and Government in managing travel and tourism in each state and the whole country. Thus, this becomes a contentious management issue that needs redressal. Tourism industry is all about customer service and satisfaction. No book is going to teach you that. Ofcourse, you can train yourself in various CRS like Galileo, Amadeus, Worldspan or Abacus. Amadeus and Galileo are mostly used by most corporate travel houses and airlines. That will teach you how to make various reservations for hotel, Airlines and car rentals. You get into live inventory of the airline or hotel and are able to make new reservation or change existing ones.

Dear, as you said you are extremely interested in travel,
I would ask you to clear it. what kind of travel ?
here in travel & tourism industry, you have to "make people travel",
so , just ask yourself you wants to travel or you can make others to travel.
Talking about placements , they are very good in the current scenario, avg package is 20k + incentives. per month.
yes all students are placed till last, and more specifically , talking on the date(10-02-2016) till now only 15 students are remaining, and still companies like SOTC, is visiting for campus drive.
and About IITTM , it is the institute, which is the core Tourism
