The college is good, and we can learn in-demand courses.
Placements: I'm studying MCA. For the MCA 2024 batch, around 80% of students get placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 5.5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Capgemini. About 60% of students get internships in similar firms. Roles offered include Software Developer, Analyst, and Tester.
Infrastructure: The MCA department has smart classrooms, high-speed campus Wi-Fi, well-maintained computer labs, and a rich digital library. Hostels offer decent living conditions with 24/7 water and power. The mess food is average, but the canteen offers better options. Medical facilities and sports grounds for cricket, football, and volleyball are available, along with an indoor games room and a gym for students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, with a focus on practical learning. The curriculum is mostly industry-relevant. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is around 85–90% each year.

Impressive infrastructure and facilities, supportive faculty, and promising placement opportunities.
Placements: The salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiters were Bosch, Intel, Capgemini, and Infosys. Around 75% of students were also placed in the above-mentioned companies. The top roles offered in my course include machine learning engineer, data scientist, AL engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Modern classrooms with Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, and a rich library support academics. The hostel offers clean rooms, 24/7 electricity, nutritious mess food, medical care, and good sports, gym, and recreation facilities. The facilities are exceptional, and the specs for the lab computers are up to modern standards which are necessary for modules like Pytorch, Sklearn, etc. The Wi-Fi is trash. Classrooms are spacious and well-equipped, and the library is great as well.
Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable and well-qualified for the jobs they do, and the teaching quality is also first-class. The course curriculum is relevant and well thought out. There are a lot of projects for my course, other than that, there's isn't much that prepares.
Other: The only thing they should change is increasing the number of hands-on projects. The events, fests, and campus crowd are really good and you get to know people from all around. The campus is a little bit far from Bengaluru. The scholarship can be increased

An okay college with an average performance.
Placements: Only 15% of our class has been placed, and we're only in the third semester. The lowest package offered was 4 LPA, the average was 4.5 LPA, and the highest package was 7 LPA with variables. The top recruiting company was EY, which offered 4.5 LPA for a tax role. Other startups recruited freshers, mostly for marketing roles.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and library were air conditioned, and the entire campus had free Wi-Fi. The library required a refundable deposit of INR 2000. The canteen provided snacks, tea, coffee, and cold drinks, as well as an executive lunch that was somewhat palatable. Unfortunately, there were no sports facilities on the entire campus.
Faculty: The teachers are good, but some do not have degrees or experience relevant to the subject they are teaching. The course curriculum is relevant and can make students industry-ready if the student is serious about it. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is 95%+.
Other: I chose to do my MBA at this college because the self-placement report showed that average to good companies visit the college. However, the job market has not been good during the 2023-25 period. While I can't blame the college for this, they should have fought for a better package with the visiting companies. Additionally, having a pre-planned structure for all semesters would have been great, as some of our semesters went by so fast that we were unable to complete the entire syllabus. On the plus side, the college does a good job with events such as the freshers party and religious functions. Scholarships are available, but they are only modestly available for Karnataka students.

We have a good campus, social life, great placements, good facilities, nice hostel.
Placements: The package is 10 LPA, and the lowest is 4 LPA. Top recruiters included Bosch, Intel, Capgemini, and Infosys. About 75% of students are also placed in these companies. The most common roles offered in my course are machine learning engineer, data scientist, AI engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities are exceptional, and the specs for the lab computers are up to modern standards which are necessary for modules like Pytorch, Sklearn, etc. The Wi-Fi is trash, and the classrooms are spacious and well-equipped. The library is great as well, with a good cafeteria. The food is not good.
Faculty: Teachers are quite knowledgeable and well-qualified for the jobs. The teaching quality is also first-class. The course curriculum is relevant and well thought out. There are a lot of projects for my course, other than that, there's isn't much that prepares.

I am satisfied with everything good like infrastructure and facilities. The faculty is cooperative.
Placements: When it comes to CSE, placements are too good. Recently many students got placed with good packages. I think a few of them got a package of 35 LPA. Many students got average packages. Top companies like Hitachi, Bosch, Auto Desk, IBM, etc., hire students and students are placed with good roles in companies.
Infrastructure: I can clearly say the infrastructure is too good and new. The hostel provides good facilities and even the food menu is good. At the start, there were complaints regarding food, but now it's good. I think the facilities provided are pretty good but a little too expensive.
Faculty: The teaching is good. We can clear our doubts by going to them. I didn't feel any difficulties when it came to studying. All lectures are cooperative when it comes to the industry part. We have separate faculty members for the placement department to give us training to make us industry-ready.
Other: I think fests are pretty good, and it has a perfect schedule for that too. There will be a lot of opportunities for extracurricular activities. One or the other day, there will be a program where we can showcase our talent.

DSU: Navigating - Academia.
Placements: A good percentage of students were placed, around 85-90%, in the recent batch. The highest package was around 30-35 LPA, the lowest was about 4-5 LPA, and the average was around 8-10 LPA. Some of the top companies include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Amazon, and IBM. About 70-75% of students secured internships, with companies like Google, Microsoft, Accenture, and Flipkart offering positions. The top roles include Data Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer, Software Developer, and Business Intelligence Analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite standard. We have well-equipped labs with the latest hardware and software for Data Science and Computer Science projects. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the classrooms are spacious with projectors for presentations. The library has a good collection of books and online resources for research. The hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms and basic amenities. The food in the mess is alright, with a variety of options, though the canteen is better for snacks and quick meals. There's a health center for basic medical care, and we have good sports facilities, including football grounds, basketball courts, and a gym.
Faculty: The teachers in our department are knowledgeable and well-qualified, many holding advanced degrees in their respective fields. The curriculum is designed to be industry-relevant, especially with the inclusion of hands-on projects and the latest tools and technologies used in Data Science and Computer Science. The semester exams are moderately challenging.
Other: I chose this course because of my strong interest in technology, especially in fields like Data Science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. One of the best aspects of this course is its relevance to current industry needs. The curriculum covers key areas like machine learning, data analytics, big data, and AI, which are in high demand. While the course is strong, one area for improvement could be keeping the curriculum more up to date with the latest industry trends. The campus has a vibrant atmosphere with a good mix of students from various backgrounds.

Dayananda Sagar University 2025 FAQs

Q:   What are the minimum marks required for MBA at Dayananda Sagar University 2023?
A:

Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) outlines inclusive eligibility criteria for admission to its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. To be eligible, candidates are required to have passed their qualifying examinations with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Recognizing the diversity among students, DSU has set a slightly relaxed criterion for candidates from the SC/ST and OBC categories, who need to secure a minimum aggregate of 45%.

A notable aspect of DSU's eligibility criteria is the provision for candidates currently in the final year of their bachelor's program. This demonstrates the university's flexibility and openness to applicants who are on the verge of completing their undergraduate education.

For postgraduate (PG) programs, including the MBA, DSU mandates that candidates hold a three-year bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institution. The minimum aggregate mark required for eligibility is 50%, with a concession to 45% for candidates belonging to the SC/ST and OBC categories. This criterion ensures that candidates entering the PG programs have a foundational understanding acquired through a bachelor's degree from reputable institutions.

These eligibility standards reflect DSU's commitment to providing opportunities for a diverse range of students to pursue higher education, particularly in the field of management. The inclusive approach, considering candidates from various backgrounds and accommodating those in the final year of their bachelor's program, enhances access to quality education and aligns with the university's mission to foster a dynamic and diverse learning environment.

Every year, over 80% of B.Tech students get placed across branches, which is a rather high placement proportion.

A:

The following are the primary requirements for admission to Dayananda Sagar University's (DSU) MBA program,

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at Dayananda Sagar University with 75 percentile in JEE?
A:

Achieving admission to B.Tech programs at specific universities often involves meeting distinct eligibility criteria and qualifying through relevant entrance exams. At the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), having a JEE Main percentile of 75 opens the door to B.Tech admissions. However, it's crucial to note that this percentile is primarily a requirement for appearing in the JEE Advanced examination, a prerequisite for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). For those who do not take the JEE Advanced, other avenues, such as admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), state government colleges, or private institutions, remain accessible without the strict 75% criteria.

On the other hand, Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) in Bangalore has specific admission requirements for its B.Tech program. Aspiring candidates need to have a valid score in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and must meet the MS Dayananda Sagar University cutoff for B.Tech admission. This underlines the importance of performing well in the KCET, a state-level entrance exam, to secure admission to DSU. The cutoff marks act as a benchmark, ensuring that candidates meet the university's academic standards for enrollment.

In summary, while a JEE Main percentile of 75 facilitates admission to B.Tech at IUST, the scenario is different at DSU, where performance in the KCET and meeting the university's cutoff marks are the key determinants for securing a place in the B.Tech program. Understanding the specific admission requirements for each institution is essential for prospective students to navigate the complex landscape of engineering admissions in India.
