We are the 4th batch of my course and are waiting for our seniors to graduate.
Placements: As my course is related to health professionals, they give us the same importance as MBBS students. We are the 4th batch of this course, so we are waiting for our seniors to get placements, we have no idea about placements yet, as we are only the fourth batch.
Infrastructure: Hostel where I stay is a third-party hostel located on the campus and is a bit more expensive. The hostel is good, but not worth the amount of money I have paid. The mess food was good when I came for the first time, but later it started to taste bad. The room is so small for 2 sharing, it feels like a single-sharing room.
Faculty: We have five subjects, anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, and microbiology. The teachers are good. The syllabus is apt for our course. We also have three internals and one final exam. We need to pass two internals to be eligible for the final exam.

Infrastructure and management of the college are very good.
Placements: Best placement and a wide range of opportunities are available, as we are currently developing our course and a multispeciality hospital is ongoing. In the coming years, we will have more and more opportunities, and we already have tie-ups with many hospitals.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The hostel is a little expensive, and the mess food is okay. You can stay for the first year, and we can consider other options after that. However, the hostel is not worth the money, as mentioned, small rooms are given for 2 lakhs (2-sharing), which isn’t worth the price. But the overall environment is good.
Faculty: SLOs are provided to help students, and model question papers are given for reference. All experienced doctors are teaching us, and they share the PPT of each and every class. We have tests every month. Overall, there is good faculty, friendly staff, and good behavior.
Other: You can choose this college if you don’t want city life, as it is located on the outskirts of the city.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Batch of 2025
3.2
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
An okay college with an average performance.
Placements: Only 15% of our class has been placed, and we're only in the third semester. The lowest package offered was 4 LPA, the average was 4.5 LPA, and the highest package was 7 LPA with variables. The top recruiting company was EY, which offered 4.5 LPA for a tax role. Other startups recruited freshers, mostly for marketing roles.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and library were air conditioned, and the entire campus had free Wi-Fi. The library required a refundable deposit of INR 2000. The canteen provided snacks, tea, coffee, and cold drinks, as well as an executive lunch that was somewhat palatable. Unfortunately, there were no sports facilities on the entire campus.
Faculty: The teachers are good, but some do not have degrees or experience relevant to the subject they are teaching. The course curriculum is relevant and can make students industry-ready if the student is serious about it. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is 95%+.
Other: I chose to do my MBA at this college because the self-placement report showed that average to good companies visit the college. However, the job market has not been good during the 2023-25 period. While I can't blame the college for this, they should have fought for a better package with the visiting companies. Additionally, having a pre-planned structure for all semesters would have been great, as some of our semesters went by so fast that we were unable to complete the entire syllabus. On the plus side, the college does a good job with events such as the freshers party and religious functions. Scholarships are available, but they are only modestly available for Karnataka students.

B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.8
3Placements3Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Stunning campus, nice faculty, good academics, average placements, bad food, and bad location.
Placements: Approximately 60% of students from the Aerospace Engineering passing-out batch are placed in my college. The highest package is around 35 LPA, the lowest being 5.5 LPA, and the average is 20 LPA. Top recruiters are Bosch Tech, Intel, Capgemini, Infosys, Mercedes-Benz, etc. Around 70-85% of students also get internships in the above-mentioned companies. The roles offered in my course are design engineer, CAE analyst, safety engineer, and production planning/quality assurance, as well as in the research and development industry.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in my college is good. Wi-Fi is kind of trash, which is a problem, especially since there isn't much exception here. The labs are really cool and functional, and well thought out. Classrooms and the library are really good as well, with all the classrooms having good space and proper equipment. The library has most of the books you would need. The quality of the hostel is also really good. The medical facilities and sports are excellent. But the quality of food is trash.
Faculty: The teachers are really helpful and highly qualified for the job they do. They have a passion for their job and are quite knowledgeable. The course curriculum is also well thought out, it is exactly what I would expect to study, and it well prepares the students. The semester exams are neither easy nor tough, it depends on whether you study or not. I find it pretty easy. You need at least 40% per subject to pass the subject.
Other: I chose this course because I'm really into the aerospace industry, and I have a great passion for it. The best thing about my course is for me is the experience of it, I really enjoy what I do. The only thing I wish they would improve about my course is if they increased placements and did more relevant industrial visits for my course. The events in this college are exceptional, with one being better than the other, the scholarship could be better.

B.Com with CMA Integrated - Batch of 2025

Student life at DSU is vibrant and holistic, focusing on academic excellence, personal growth.
Placements: 56% of students are placed in our course. I think in BBA 50% of students got placed. Top recruiters are City Bank, ICICI Bank, etc. 60% of students got internships. The top course offered is B.Com with cost management. It is a good course. Now newly they offer B.Com regular only.
Infrastructure: Yes, the infrastructure at Dayananda Sagar is good, and there's no doubt about it. It's completely satisfactory, with an impressive library and well-maintained classrooms. The facilities are decent overall; however, the food in the canteen is just average and did not meet my expectations. The campus and hostel accommodations are acceptable, and medical facilities are available. There are definitely opportunities for sports and games as well.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and kind, and the teaching quality is good. Exams tend to be relatively easy. We just need to concentrate on our studies and stay focused. While only 30% of the material can be quite difficult for a few subjects, if students work hard, they will likely pass. Some external faculty members can be strict, and they usually do not provide enough information about the courses.
Other: I chose B.Com with CMA to learn more about accounting and taxes. The best thing I learned is how to study quickly and efficiently. There are more students and numerous cultural activities, which promotes socializing. Is there an event planned?

DSU: Navigating - Academia.
Placements: A good percentage of students were placed, around 85-90%, in the recent batch. The highest package was around 30-35 LPA, the lowest was about 4-5 LPA, and the average was around 8-10 LPA. Some of the top companies include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Amazon, and IBM. About 70-75% of students secured internships, with companies like Google, Microsoft, Accenture, and Flipkart offering positions. The top roles include Data Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer, Software Developer, and Business Intelligence Analyst.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite standard. We have well-equipped labs with the latest hardware and software for Data Science and Computer Science projects. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the classrooms are spacious with projectors for presentations. The library has a good collection of books and online resources for research. The hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms and basic amenities. The food in the mess is alright, with a variety of options, though the canteen is better for snacks and quick meals. There's a health center for basic medical care, and we have good sports facilities, including football grounds, basketball courts, and a gym.
Faculty: The teachers in our department are knowledgeable and well-qualified, many holding advanced degrees in their respective fields. The curriculum is designed to be industry-relevant, especially with the inclusion of hands-on projects and the latest tools and technologies used in Data Science and Computer Science. The semester exams are moderately challenging.
Other: I chose this course because of my strong interest in technology, especially in fields like Data Science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. One of the best aspects of this course is its relevance to current industry needs. The curriculum covers key areas like machine learning, data analytics, big data, and AI, which are in high demand. While the course is strong, one area for improvement could be keeping the curriculum more up to date with the latest industry trends. The campus has a vibrant atmosphere with a good mix of students from various backgrounds.

Dayananda Sagar University 2025 FAQs

Q:   What are the minimum marks required for MBA at Dayananda Sagar University 2023?
A:

Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) outlines inclusive eligibility criteria for admission to its Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. To be eligible, candidates are required to have passed their qualifying examinations with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Recognizing the diversity among students, DSU has set a slightly relaxed criterion for candidates from the SC/ST and OBC categories, who need to secure a minimum aggregate of 45%.

A notable aspect of DSU's eligibility criteria is the provision for candidates currently in the final year of their bachelor's program. This demonstrates the university's flexibility and openness to applicants who are on the verge of completing their undergraduate education.

For postgraduate (PG) programs, including the MBA, DSU mandates that candidates hold a three-year bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institution. The minimum aggregate mark required for eligibility is 50%, with a concession to 45% for candidates belonging to the SC/ST and OBC categories. This criterion ensures that candidates entering the PG programs have a foundational understanding acquired through a bachelor's degree from reputable institutions.

These eligibility standards reflect DSU's commitment to providing opportunities for a diverse range of students to pursue higher education, particularly in the field of management. The inclusive approach, considering candidates from various backgrounds and accommodating those in the final year of their bachelor's program, enhances access to quality education and aligns with the university's mission to foster a dynamic and diverse learning environment.

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at Dayananda Sagar University with 75 percentile in JEE?
A:

Achieving admission to B.Tech programs at specific universities often involves meeting distinct eligibility criteria and qualifying through relevant entrance exams. At the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), having a JEE Main percentile of 75 opens the door to B.Tech admissions. However, it's crucial to note that this percentile is primarily a requirement for appearing in the JEE Advanced examination, a prerequisite for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). For those who do not take the JEE Advanced, other avenues, such as admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), state government colleges, or private institutions, remain accessible without the strict 75% criteria.

On the other hand, Dayananda Sagar University (DSU) in Bangalore has specific admission requirements for its B.Tech program. Aspiring candidates need to have a valid score in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) and must meet the MS Dayananda Sagar University cutoff for B.Tech admission. This underlines the importance of performing well in the KCET, a state-level entrance exam, to secure admission to DSU. The cutoff marks act as a benchmark, ensuring that candidates meet the university's academic standards for enrollment.

In summary, while a JEE Main percentile of 75 facilitates admission to B.Tech at IUST, the scenario is different at DSU, where performance in the KCET and meeting the university's cutoff marks are the key determinants for securing a place in the B.Tech program. Understanding the specific admission requirements for each institution is essential for prospective students to navigate the complex landscape of engineering admissions in India.
